FamilyMart turned 45 in September 2026, and from November 1 (Sun) to 11 (Wed) it’s running the “45th Anniversary FamiPay Festival” at about 16,500 stores nationwide. FamilyMart calls it the biggest campaign in FamiPay’s history.
FamiPay is FamilyMart’s own app: a barcode for points and coupons, plus a payment wallet. The headline event is on November 11: show the app on any purchase of ¥111 or more (tax included) and you get a spin on a game. Win, and you get Famima Points equal to what you paid. The catch is the odds, which are at best 1 in 50. Below is everything from the official pages, plus what the deal is really worth.

- No sign-up, any payment: on 11/11 just have the cashier scan your FamiPay barcode. Cash and credit cards count too
- One spin per checkout of ¥111+, no limit. Play twice or more and you’re also in a draw for ¥1,000 in points (111 winners)
- Odds: “up to 1 in 50” per the official page, so on average you get back at most about 2% of what you spend
- Paid in points: limited-time Famima Points, credited around mid-December, valid until May 31, 2027; capped at 100,000 points
- Excluded: cigarettes, gift cards such as Apple Gift Card, e-money top-ups, utility bills and more
- ¥100-off coupons: become a member by 11/11 and you get three, usable on 11/11 only
- Prize draw: daily from the app banner Nov 1–10; winners must enter a delivery address by Nov 29
The three parts at a glance
Only the 11/11 game needs a purchase. Entering the draw and receiving the coupons are free for members, and the parts are separate, so you can do all of them.
The 11/11 win-it-back game: rules and how to play

The instant ¥1: January 31, 2027 (Sun)
If you win more than once, each win pays back the purchase that spin came from. If a checkout mixed in excluded items, those are taken off before the points are calculated.
How to play

- On 11/11, at a FamilyMart store, have the cashier scan the barcode in your FamiPay app (pay however you like)
- Make sure that checkout is ¥111 or more, tax included (cigarettes, gift cards, top-ups and other excluded items don’t count)
- Within about 6 hours, a spin appears under “Challenge” at the bottom of the app; tap “Game Start”
- Tap “Start!” to spin the roulette; the result shows right away
- If you win, ¥1 worth arrives at once, and limited-time Famima Points equal to the purchase arrive around mid-December
What doesn’t count
These items don’t earn spins and are deducted from the refund if they’re in the same checkout (FamilyMart’s official list, in Japanese):
In plain English: plastic bags, cigarettes, utility and other bill payments, stamps, postcards, revenue stamps, garbage bags and tickets, event and transport tickets, coupon books, parcel shipping, mail-order payments, Famima Online, card and loan repayments, sports lottery, prepaid and gift cards (including Vanilla Visa and Apple Gift Card), e-money top-ups, agency services, multi-copy machine services and online payments. Some store-only items may be excluded too. So buying a stack of gift cards and hoping for a win is off the table; only regular store items count.
Is it really free? The odds, in yen
“Your whole purchase free” sounds generous, but the official wording is “up to 1 in 50.” “Up to” means 1 in 50 is the best case. Taking that best case:
Splitting your shopping into more checkouts doesn’t change how much you get back on average. It only trades one big possible win for several small ones. The one real gain from splitting is the double chance draw, which needs two or more spins (111 winners of ¥1,000).
So buying extra just to chase a win isn’t worth it. The sensible play is to move the FamilyMart shopping you’d do anyway to 11/11: every checkout comes with a free lottery ticket, and the ¥100 coupons work that day too.
Three ¥100-off coupons for 11/11
- Any one item from FamilyMart’s own Famimaru bread range
- Barley, green, genmai, Taiwan oolong, jasmine and corn tea
- Seven Afternoon Tea–supervised flavors (rooibos, unsweetened Earl Grey and more)
- Iyemon Mainichi Sukoyaka strong green tea / strong hojicha
- Tissues and toilet paper: Scottie 3× long-lasting (single/double), Famimaru facial tissue 5 boxes, Elleair moisturizing tissue
- Cleaning: Joy W antibacterial upside-down bottle, Famimaru antibacterial wet wipes
- Masks (7 each): eight types from Fitty, Kowa and Unicharm
Examples from the official page (tax included, regular price → with coupon):
Prices as listed on FamilyMart’s campaign page; prices and specs can differ by region.

- Can’t be combined with other sales, discount coupons, exchange vouchers or coupon books
- Prices assume takeout (8% tax). Eating in is taxed at 10%, and you pay the difference at the register
- Some stores don’t stock every item or may sell out; eligible items can change during the period
Daily prize draw (Nov 1–10) and the X campaign
Prize 2: winner notified by FamiPay push notification around mid-November

① Enter your delivery name and address under “マイページ” (My Page) in the app by November 29 (Sun), 23:59, or the prize is void. A wrong address also voids it.
② Logging out of the app during the campaign deletes your entry history (winners who have already saved an address still get their prize). Hold off on switching phones or reinstalling the app if you can.

X follow & repost: another ¥110,000 prize
From November 1 (Sun), 11:00 to November 10 (Tue), 23:59, follow FamilyMart’s official X account (@famima_now) and repost the campaign post for a chance at FamilyMart products worth ¥110,000. One entry per person, even if you have several accounts. The official page doesn’t say how many winners there are.
How to shop on 11/11
- The day before, open “クーポン” (Coupons) in the app and check that all three ¥100 coupons are there
- Show the FamiPay barcode first, every time. If it isn’t scanned, no e-receipt is recorded and no spin arrives
- Check out at least twice (¥111+ each) to qualify for the double chance draw. Once in the morning and once in the evening is enough
- Keep the coupon checkout at ¥111+ after the discount
- Cigarettes, gift cards, top-ups and bill payments don’t count, not even toward the ¥111
- Pay with whatever usually gives you the best return. Payment method doesn’t affect the spins, so your usual FamiPay rewards or card points still apply (top-up options and the best way to pay are in our FamiPay guide)
- Use all your spins by November 13 (Fri), 23:59
Planning to buy Apple Gift Cards at FamilyMart? They don’t count for this game, but there’s a separate convenience-store deal for them in 10% back on Apple Gift Cards at Japan’s convenience stores (purchases until November 1).
New to FamiPay? Sign-up and referral code
The draw and the coupons are members-only, and the 11/11 game needs the app. If you sign up before November 1, you can join the draw from day one. FamiPay is also running its official “Invite a Friend” campaign (September 1 – November 30, 2026): sign up with a referral code and both the referrer and the new member get ¥100 worth of Famima Points.
- Download FamiPay (FamilyMart’s app) and register (free)
- Within 6 days of registering, go to “サービス” (Services) → “ギフトを受け取る” (Receive a gift) on the home screen, enter the code below and tap “ギフトコードで受け取る”
- Within 10 days of entering it, shop once at FamilyMart while showing the app (any payment method)
- Both sides get ¥100 worth of Famima Points
Key dates
Easy-to-miss details
- Not everyone shops free: odds are up to 1 in 50, and winners are paid later in points, not at the register
- In-store only: mail order, Famima Online and online payments don’t count
- Spins arrive late: up to about 6 hours after you shop, so don’t worry if they’re not there right away
- Don’t log out: logging out during the draw period deletes your entry history
- Address by November 29; prizes ship within Japan only
- Points expire: credited mid-December, valid until May 31, 2027
- FamilyMart may change or end the campaign without notice; check the official page before you go
