Le Creuset Sale on Amazon Japan: Discounted Items vs. High-Point Dutch Ovens (Until Oct 22)

Amazon Japan started a Le Creuset time sale (タイムセール) on October 9. According to the product pages, it runs until Thursday, October 22, 23:59 JST.

The price cuts are mostly on TNS non-stick frying pans, stoneware dishes and ramekins, and kitchen tools. The famous cast-iron Dutch ovens (Cocotte Ronde) are barely discounted — but some colors come with a lot of Amazon points. Same pot, different color, and what you actually pay can be quite different.

Sale period and what’s included

  • Period: October 9 – October 22 (Thu), 2026, 23:59 JST (as shown on Amazon’s product pages)
  • Items: selected Le Creuset products sold and shipped by Amazon.co.jp
  • How to spot them: a red “タイムセール” label above the price, plus a reference price (参考価格)

When we checked on October 9, every time-sale item showed the same end time, October 22 at 23:59. Items can end early if they sell out, so don’t wait too long on a color you really want. Discounted items usually earn only about 1% in points, so the price you see is basically what you pay.

Discounted items (20)

The price cuts are on TNS frying pans, stoneware dishes and ramekins, tools like the maple spoon, and even pet bowls. These were in stock on October 9. Prices update automatically; the “-%” figure is the cut from the reference price.

※ Prices are refreshed about once an hour. If we haven’t been able to refresh a price for 20 hours, it isn’t shown. Always check the final price on Amazon.

TNS is Le Creuset’s non-stick pan line: a hard-anodized aluminum body that heats quickly and evenly, with layered non-stick coating inside and out. It works on induction, in the dishwasher and in the oven. You’ll probably reach for a frying pan more often than a cast-iron pot, so if yours is due for replacement, this is a good time.

Cast-iron pots: check the points, then the size

Le Creuset’s signature enameled cast-iron Dutch oven (Cocotte Ronde) is barely discounted this time. Instead, points vary wildly by color: on October 9 we saw some colors earning a very large number of points, while another color in the same size earned almost none. So for cast iron, check the points first, then pick your color.

These pots were in stock at Amazon.co.jp with high points on October 9 (prices update automatically; check points on the product page). The 18 cm was also in stock in Chiffon Pink.

18 cm2–32
20 cm2–43
22 cm3–54

26 cm5–9—
28 cm6–12—
30 cm7–14—

Source: Le Creuset Japan official site, “サイズ選びの目安” (Signature Cocotte Ronde product page, checked October 9, 2026). Pots 24 cm and larger can cook rice unevenly and aren’t recommended for rice. 1 go ≈ 180 ml of uncooked rice.

  • Living alone or as a couple: 18 cm is the most versatile — enough for stews or 2 go of rice.
  • Family of three or four: 20–22 cm. If you’ll cook rice in it too, stay at 22 cm or smaller.
  • Induction (IH) stoves: small pots like 14 or 16 cm have a small base and may not register on some IH models. Check your stove’s minimum pan size.
  • Weight: cast iron is heavy — the official spec lists the 18 cm at about 2.6 kg. If you’ll move it around a lot, don’t go too big.
  • Other sizes: on October 9, the 14/16/20/26/28/30 cm sizes were out of stock at Amazon.co.jp. You can look for other colors in the cast-iron section.

More items with high points (12)

It’s not just the cast-iron pots: TNS frying pans, plates and bowls, and the silicone spatula also earn lots of points at full price. These were in stock with high points on October 9 (prices update automatically).

※ Points can change at any time and differ by color. Check the “◯◯ポイント(◯%)” line on the product page before ordering.

Compare by “effective price”

A discount means you pay less; points come back to you after you pay. To compare the two fairly, use one simple formula:

Price−Points=Effective price

Next to the points on the product page there’s a “内訳” (breakdown) link. It splits the points into two lines: “Amazonお買い物ポイント” from the product itself, and a card bonus such as Amazon Mastercard’s. Compare products using the first line only — the card bonus depends on the person.

How the product lines differ

There’s also EOS (enamel saucepans and more) for everyday jobs like heating soup or milk — out of stock on October 9. “Signature” is the updated design released in 2016, with larger handles that are easier to grip with oven mitts and a redesigned lid knob.

Stacking with Prime Big Deal Days (Oct 13–19)

Amazon Japan’s Prime Big Deal Days (プライム感謝祭) has an early sale from Tue Oct 13 0:00 to Thu Oct 15 23:59, and the main sale from Fri Oct 16 0:00 to Mon Oct 19 23:59. During that time there’s also a points-up campaign: register (エントリー) and spend a total of ¥10,000 (tax included) or more to earn bonus points (bonus capped at 10,000 points, issued as limited-time points).

The Le Creuset time sale is listed until October 22, so if you’re not in a hurry, ordering on or after the 13th lets it count toward the campaign’s ¥10,000 total. Items can still sell out before then, though, and some products are excluded — check the campaign page for the details. Prime Big Deal Days is for Prime members only.

Before you order, and care tips

  • Check the seller: make sure “出荷元/販売元” (ships from / sold by) says Amazon.co.jp. Other sellers have different prices, points and warranties. The product name usually says “日本正規販売品” (official Japan distribution).
  • Switch colors and compare: each color of the same pot has its own price and points. Click through the colors on the product page.
  • Caring for cast iron: wash with a soft sponge and mild dish soap; avoid steel wool and melamine sponges, which scratch the enamel. Don’t plunge a hot pot into cold water, and dry it well after washing. Medium heat is plenty — cast iron holds heat very well.
  • TNS frying pans: they’re dishwasher safe, but hand washing keeps the coating in better shape for longer.

FAQ

Q. How long does the Le Creuset time sale last?
Amazon’s product pages show it ending on Thursday, October 22 at 23:59 JST. Items that sell out end earlier.
Q. Is the Cocotte Ronde discounted too?
When we checked on October 9, the cast-iron pots were barely discounted, but some colors earned lots of points. Compare by effective price: price minus points.
Q. When do I get the points?
Go by what the product page and your order details show. The number of points can also change at any time, so check the “◯◯ポイント” line on the product page before you order.
Q. Does it count toward the Prime Big Deal Days ¥10,000 total?
The points-up campaign covers purchases made from October 13 to 19 after you register. Some products are excluded, so check the campaign page for the details.
Q. Which pot should I buy first?
An 18 cm Cocotte Ronde for two or three people, or 20–22 cm for a family of three or four, is the safe choice. If you cook rice often, the deeper Cocotte Every is worth a look.
Q. Does it work on induction (IH)?
Both the cast-iron pots and the TNS frying pans work on induction. Very small pots (14–16 cm) may not register on some IH stoves, so check your stove’s specs.
