Tokushima Ramen EXPO 2026 and a free Kids Ramen Class

10/31Sat · Kids class, free, first 300
11/1Sun · 5 shops, stamp lottery

If you live in or near Tokushima, or you are planning a trip around the end of October, there is a two-day ramen event worth knowing about. The Tokushima Prefecture Ramen Business Cooperative (徳島県ラーメン業協同組合) is holding a hands-on ramen class for children on Saturday, October 31, 2026, followed by a one-day gathering of five Tokushima ramen shops on Sunday, November 1. Both take place at Shinmachigawa Mizugiwa Park (新町川水際公園) in Tokushima City.

The kids class is free, but it is first come, first served for 300 children, so timing matters. Below you will find what happens on each day, who can join, and what the announcement does not cover yet.

The two days at a glance

The weekend is split into two separate events. Saturday is for kids, Sunday is for everyone who wants to eat.

Children top a bowl of Tokushima ramen themselves and make their own original bowl. The idea is simple: let kids get their hands on the food and learn a bit about the local ramen culture while they are at it.

The class is led by the manager of 猪虎 Komatsushima main shop (猪虎 小松島本店), 猪子翔太. Every child who takes part goes home with a Tokushima Ramen Kids Supporter certificate (徳島ラーメンキッズサポーター証明書).

On Sunday, five shops that represent Tokushima ramen set up at the park, each bringing its own style. It is a rare chance to try several of them in one place instead of driving between shops.

2三八

There is also a stamp lottery. Collect stamps from all five shops and you can enter a draw for 茶系 徳島ラーメン (chakei Tokushima ramen, the brown-broth style the city is known for).

The announcement does not list an entry fee, ramen prices, payment methods or what happens on Sunday if it rains. Contact the cooperative office (details below) if you need to know before you go.

Tips before you go

  • Kids class: arrive by 10:00. Registration happens on the spot and stops at 300 children. There is no advance booking mentioned.
  • One adult has to come. Children cannot join on their own, even older elementary schoolers.
  • Rain does not cancel Saturday. Pack a raincoat or umbrella rather than waiting for a cancellation notice.
  • EXPO: plan to visit all five shops if you want a shot at the lottery. Going with friends or family and sharing bowls makes that easier.
  • Costs are unknown for Sunday. Since prices and payment options are not in the announcement, it is safest to ask the office or bring a few payment options.

If you enjoy chasing ramen deals, the free bowl campaign at Taiyo no Tomato Men is another one worth a look.
