Until October 19 (Mon), Amazon Japan gives 1,000 Amazon points to selected customers who buy ¥10,000 or more of brand gift cards such as Apple Gift Card, Google Play or DMM. Spend exactly ¥10,000 and that is a 10% return.
Two catches: the offer is invitation-only, and only purchases made after you enter (エントリー) count. This is what the campaign page looked like right after I entered:

The deal at a glance
- Period: October 1, 2026 (Thu) 0:00 – October 19 (Mon) 23:59 JST
- Eligible items: brand gift cards sold by Amazon Gift Cards Japan G.K., both email and shipped versions
- Condition: press the entry button on the campaign page, then buy eligible cards worth ¥10,000 or more in total during the period
- Reward: 1,000 limited-time points, once per person
- Timing: about two weeks after you meet the condition
One ¥10,000 card or two ¥5,000 cards both work; only the total matters. Spending ¥20,000 still gets you 1,000 points, so ¥10,000 exactly is the sweet spot.

Check whether your account qualifies
Log in, open the campaign page and look for a button labelled 「キャンペーンにエントリーする」 (enter the campaign). The terms say it only appears for eligible customers, so no button means your account is not part of this round. Eligibility is decided per account.
After you press it, the page shows 「エントリー済み」 and your purchases from then on are counted. Do this before you add anything to your cart.
Which gift cards count
- Email delivery: Apple Gift Card, Google Play, DMM prepaid card, LINE prepaid card, U-NEXT, Meta Quest, TikTok, DAZN, LUUP and more
- Shipped cards: Apple Gift Card, Roblox, DMM, LINE, Fortnite, Fate/Grand Order, Meta Quest, myHPcloud, OTOTOY and more
Three are excluded: Amazon gift cards, Uber gift cards and Yoshinoya digital gifts. Topping up your Amazon gift card balance does not count.

Not sure about a card? Scroll down its product page. Eligible ones show the line 「各種ギフトカード購入で1,000ポイント還元: キャンペーン対象商品。」 (eligible for the 1,000-point campaign).

Skip the cards with a fee built in
A few eligible cards cost more than their face value. When I checked the product pages on October 4:
- QUO Card Pay (email): 10% above face value (the page says the price includes a system and handling fee)
- GO taxi tickets: 8% above face value (the price includes an Amazon sales fee)
| Card | You pay | You get | Net |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Gift Card, ¥10,000 | ¥10,000 | ¥10,000 card + 1,000 points | 10% ahead |
| QUO Card Pay, ¥10,000 | ¥11,000 | ¥10,000 card + 1,000 points | about even |
Apple Gift Card, Google Play and DMM list no fee (Google Play even says there is no expiry date and no fee). Before ordering, glance at the 「この商品について」 (about this item) section for the word 「手数料」 (fee).
What to buy: bills you would pay anyway
Gift cards cannot be returned, so the safe move is to prepay something you would spend money on anyway, such as a monthly subscription.
- iCloud+, Apple Music, Apple One, or a new iPhone → Apple Gift Card
- Android apps and games, YouTube → Google Play (the product page says the code works only on Google Play and YouTube)
- DMM e-books, videos and games → DMM prepaid card
- LINE stickers, themes and game items → LINE prepaid card
- U-NEXT streaming and rentals → U-NEXT gift code
- VR apps and games → Meta Quest gift card
Tap a card to open its Amazon product page. These are all email cards, so the code arrives right after purchase.
You can mix brands to reach ¥10,000. Expiry dates differ a lot, so if you are prepaying future bills, pick a card that does not expire (as listed on the product pages on October 4):
| Card | Expiry |
|---|---|
| Apple Gift Card | None |
| Google Play gift code | None |
| DMM prepaid card | 1 year from purchase (DMM points also last 1 year) |
| LINE prepaid card | 1 year from purchase (cannot be loaded after that) |
| U-NEXT gift code | Must be redeemed within 45 days of purchase |
| Meta Quest gift card | 6 months from purchase |
Region matters: these are Japanese cards. Apple says gift cards only work in the country where they were bought, so an Apple Gift Card from Amazon Japan needs a Japan-region Apple Account. The Google Play code likewise works only on the Japanese Play Store.
Apple Gift Card: limits and how to use it

- Works for hardware too: Apple’s Japanese gift card terms allow it for products at Apple Stores and the online Apple Store, so it can pay for an iPhone, Mac or AirPods. Online, add it to your Apple Account at apple.com/redeem first.
- One card is enough: pick 10000 from the amount list.
- ¥50,000 per 24 hours on Amazon: the product page says purchases above that within 24 hours are cancelled automatically (same for Google Play and DMM).
- Apple Account balance cap: ¥300,000, according to Apple’s gift card terms.
On my account, which uses the Amazon Prime Mastercard, the Apple Gift Card page also showed the card’s usual 2% points. Check your own product page for what you will actually get.
When the points arrive and when they expire
The points arrive about two weeks after you meet the condition and show up under 「マイポイント」 (My Points). They are limited-time points that expire at the end of the month after they are confirmed:
- Confirmed in October → usable until November 30
- Confirmed in November → usable until December 31
When you pay with points, the limited-time ones with the nearest expiry are used before your regular one-year points (per the terms).
It does not stack with the Prime Big Deal Days point-up
Prime Big Deal Days (プライム感謝祭) starts on October 13 (Tue) with its own point-up campaign, also “enter and spend ¥10,000”. Its official FAQ says points are not given when you buy a gift card itself. Plan the two ¥10,000 totals separately.

Things to watch out for
- Shipped cards must ship within the period. The terms require order, payment and shipping to be completed by October 19. Close to the deadline, choose an email card.
- No returns or refunds on cards bought in this campaign.
- One reward per person, no matter how much you spend.
- Never share a code. Anyone asking you to buy a gift card and send them the code is almost certainly a scammer.
- Amazon can change or end the campaign at any time. The terms on the campaign page take priority.
FAQ
- Q. There is no entry button on the campaign page.
- The campaign is invitation-only. If the button does not appear while you are logged in, your account is not eligible this time.

- No. Purchases before entry are excluded. Enter now and buy another ¥10,000 or more in total.
- Q. Do I get 2,000 points for ¥20,000?
- No. The reward is once per person: 1,000 points regardless of how much you spend.
- Q. Can I combine different brands?
- Yes. Any eligible cards adding up to ¥10,000 or more meet the condition.
- Q. Do Amazon gift cards count?
- No. Amazon gift cards, Uber gift cards and Yoshinoya digital gifts are excluded.
- Q. Can I use the Apple Gift Card with a non-Japanese Apple Account?
- No. Apple gift cards only work in the country where they were bought, so you need a Japan-region Apple Account.
- Q. When do the points arrive?
- About two weeks after you meet the condition. They are limited-time points that expire at the end of the month after confirmation.
- Q. Does it count toward the Prime Big Deal Days ¥10,000?
- The Prime Big Deal Days FAQ says buying a gift card itself earns no campaign points, so treat them separately.
