AirWallet’s September Bonuses: Four Paths, Up to 8,840 Yen

Key Takeaways: AirWallet’s four LINE gift-code offers exclude one another, so the ¥2,313 you get by adding them up is a number nobody can collect. The MINISTOP route pays the most at ¥7,840, or ¥8,840 once the 30% first-payment cashback is counted, but the ¥2,000 stage is closed to anyone who had already submitted a COIN+ verification request. The ¥300 referral bonus closes first, on 28 September 2026.

AirWallet (エアウォレット) is running several bonus offers at once in September 2026, and the numbers you see quoted online rarely match what you can actually collect. The reason is simple: the four “add us on LINE” offers exclude one another. Add them up and you get a figure nobody can earn. Below is what each route is really worth, based on the official terms of every offer, checked on 17 September 2026.

The short version: pick a route, don’t add everything up

The offers split into two groups. Group A is four offers, one per person. Group B stacks on top if you meet the conditions.

RouteWhat it’s made ofTotal
MINISTOP route540 + ID verification 2,000 + referral 300 + MUFG 5,000¥7,840
LAWSON route288 + ID verification 2,000 + referral 300 + MUFG 5,000¥7,588
Uta-Pri route880 + referral 300 + MUFG 5,000¥6,180
WEGO route605 + referral 300 + MUFG 5,000¥5,905

Whichever route you take, the two cashback offers sit on top if you actually spend something. The MINISTOP route’s ¥7,840 plus the 30% first-payment cashback (capped at ¥1,000) makes ¥8,840, and adding the 15% QR cashback (capped at ¥500) brings it to ¥9,340. One caveat: the referral programme’s FAQ says taking part alongside other concurrent campaigns is “basically possible”, then adds that where the participation conditions are the same, only one of the bonuses may be credited. MINISTOP’s ¥2,000 and the referral ¥300 both hinge on completing ID verification, so read the table above as the best case rather than a guarantee.

On paper the MINISTOP route pays the most. But the ¥2,000 piece depends on your ID-verification history, and anyone who has already submitted a COIN+ verification request is shut out of it. If that’s you, the Uta-Pri route (deadline 26 October) or WEGO (29 October) is the sensible pick, for reasons in the next section.

Group A: four LINE offers, one per person

All four work the same way: add the official LINE account from the campaign page, install the app, create a COIN+ account, then redeem the gift code inside the app. You don’t have to buy anything.

MINISTOP¥54030 Sep, 23:59¥2,000
LAWSON¥28830 Sep, 23:59¥2,000

From each offer’s official terms, checked 17 September 2026. MINISTOP is first-come, first-served and can close early once the allocation runs out. The ¥880 and ¥605 match the shipping charges at Broccoli Online and the WEGO online store, but what lands in your account is ordinary COIN+ balance you can spend on anything. Start dates: Uta-Pri 11 September at 12:00, WEGO 15 September at 00:00.

Official MINISTOP and AirWallet notice: add the LINE account as a friend and receive COIN+ balance worth one Halo-Halo (540 yen), first-come first-served while stocks last
MINISTOP’s official notice. The ¥540 is the price of one Halo-Halo, and it is first-come, first-served — it can close early once the allocation runs out.

Every one of the four sets of terms says the same thing: anyone who has taken part in a previous AirWallet LINE campaign and redeemed (activated) a gift code is not eligible. WEGO puts it even more bluntly — if you have activated a gift code before, the page that explains how to claim this one won’t even be shown to you. So the ¥2,313 you get by adding all four together is not a number anyone can reach.

WEGO’s “up to 50% back” is a separate thing

WEGO’s campaign page is headlined “up to 50% back”, which has nothing to do with the ¥605. The terms describe a second, unrelated perk: pay with the AirWallet prepaid Visa card at the WEGO online store during the campaign and you later receive WEGO points worth 20% of what you spent. A note then adds that combining this with the concurrent 30% prepaid-card offer is what makes it “up to 50%”.

In other words it’s arithmetic: 20% in WEGO points plus 30% in COIN+ balance. If you’re not shopping at WEGO, ignore it — claiming the ¥605 and stopping there is perfectly fine. And note that the 20% arrives as WEGO points (scheduled for late December 2026), not as COIN+ balance you can withdraw.

Official WEGO and AirWallet notice: 605 yen of shipping for adding the LINE account as a friend for the first time, plus up to 50% back when you pay with AirWallet. Runs 15 September to 29 October 2026
WEGO’s official notice. The ¥605 matches the shipping charge, and “up to 50%” is 20% in WEGO points plus 30% in COIN+ balance. Runs 15 September 00:00 to 29 October 23:59.

If you have never used the app before, the step-by-step for claiming a gift code and getting the money into your bank account is in AirWallet’s ¥880 Gift Code: How to Claim It and Cash Out — worth reading first, since the withdrawal step is where most people get stuck.

The ¥2,000 only attaches to MINISTOP and LAWSON

These two have a second stage worth ¥2,000 after you redeem the gift code. Uta-Pri’s second stage is a postcard and WEGO’s is store points, so choosing the ¥880 or the ¥605 means giving up this ¥2,000. The Uta-Pri postcard has a condition of its own: you need ¥5,000 or more including tax paid at Broccoli Online with the virtual Visa card, it’s one per person, and it ships around late December 2026.

Official Broccoli Online, Uta no Prince-sama and AirWallet notice: shipping effectively free for adding the LINE account as a friend, plus a postcard for everyone who spends 5,000 yen or more including tax. Runs 11 September to 26 October 2026
Broccoli Online’s official notice. The ¥880 is COIN+ balance matching the shipping charge. The campaign runs 11 September 12:00 to 26 October 23:59.

The conditions are identical for both stores:

  • Redeem the gift code first — that’s the prerequisite. Completing verification on its own earns you nothing here.
  • During the campaign period, register a bank account, link your Recruit ID, and submit and pass ID verification (any order).
  • Only people who had not submitted a COIN+ verification request as of 00:00 on 14 September 2026 are eligible.
  • Anyone who has received a verification bonus before, or who receives one through another promotion, is excluded.
  • Verification submitted through an app other than AirWallet doesn’t count — MUJI passport and HOT PEPPER Beauty are named explicitly.

MINISTOP and LAWSON exclude each other. MINISTOP’s terms list the excluded campaigns by date range, and following the link takes you to the LAWSON one (14–30 September). The gift code itself is also once per person, so if you want the ¥2,000 you have to choose a store. MINISTOP is worth ¥252 more (540 + 2,000 = ¥2,540 against LAWSON’s ¥2,288).

LAWSON has a different entry point. Its terms state that you must reach the campaign page from the official LAWSON app or the official LAWSON LINE chat; arriving any other way may mean the conditions don’t register.

Official LAWSON and AirWallet step diagram: step 1 claim the 288 yen gift code, step 2 register a bank account and pass ID verification to receive 2,000 yen of COIN+ balance
LAWSON’s official step diagram. Claim and redeem the ¥288 code first, then register your account and pass verification for the ¥2,000. It is scheduled for late October and needs your Recruit ID linked.

Referral code: another ¥300, and it closes on 28 September

This one is Recruit ID’s own referral programme (友だち招待プログラム), and both sides get ¥300. The current round runs from 00:00 on 25 August 2026 to 23:59 on 28 September — the earliest deadline of anything on this page.

As the person being referred, you need all four of these done inside the period:

  1. Enter the referral code on the sign-up screen. (If you miss it, you can still enter it from Settings → Account → Enter referral code while the period is open.)
  2. Register a bank account.
  3. Link your Recruit ID to your COIN+ account.
  4. Submit ID verification and have it approved.

One more thing to get right is which ID you use. The terms state that if the Recruit ID registered on your COIN+ account differs from the Recruit ID you register the campaign with, you are not eligible. It is the same shape of trap as MUFG’s rule about the phone number not matching your COIN+ account.

The official page says verification review takes anywhere from same-day to over a week. Counting back from 28 September, the earlier you submit the safer you are. The COIN+ balance is scheduled to land around late October 2026, so nothing appearing straight away doesn’t mean it failed.

There is one more condition in the terms that is easy to miss: for the invited person to receive the bonus, the inviting person must have registered for the campaign. You can finish all four steps and still get nothing if whoever invited you never registered. We are registered for this round (25 August to 28 September 2026), so all that is left is your four steps inside the period.

Create your COIN+ account inside the AirWallet app, not anywhere else. The referral terms exclude anyone who opened their COIN+ account through MUFG Bank’s account-opening app (スマート口座開設アプリ). The same applies if you applied through another app such as Shiftboard and created a COIN+ account as part of that flow. Follow a bank’s account-opening wizard and this ¥300 is gone.

MUFG Bank: ¥5,000 for a first top-up of ¥30,000 (open until 31 March 2027)

Everything above is run by Recruit MUFG Business. This one is a separate campaign run by MUFG Bank itself, called the COIN+ First Top-up Campaign. Top up from your MUFG Bank account for the first time through AirWallet and you get COIN+ balance based on the amount.

Your first top-upYou receive
¥5,000 – under ¥10,000¥1,000
¥10,000 – under ¥30,000¥2,000
¥30,000 or more¥5,000

The campaign runs from 00:00 on 1 June 2026 to 23:59 on 31 March 2027. Unlike everything else here, it stays open until next spring. Installing the app, creating a COIN+ account, verifying your ID and registering your bank account may all have happened before 1 June, as long as each one is complete within the period.

Official MUFG Bank notice: up to 5,000 yen for your first COIN+ top-up. 30,000 yen or more pays 5,000 yen, 10,000 to under 30,000 pays 2,000 yen, 5,000 to under 10,000 pays 1,000 yen
MUFG Bank’s official notice. Whether you register before or after topping up, only the first top-up made during the campaign counts — later top-ups do not.

The tier is decided by your first top-up alone. Put in ¥1,000 or ¥5,000 to test the water and you cannot climb back to the ¥5,000 tier later by topping up more. To get the full amount, make it ¥30,000 the first time.

It’s for people whose first top-up happens in June 2026 or later — the terms exclude anyone who topped up from an MUFG Bank account on or before 31 May 2026. The prep work is registering your MUFG account in the app, passing ID verification, and registering for the campaign, which you can do before or after topping up.

If the phone number you enter when registering doesn’t match the one on your COIN+ account, you get nothing. That’s an easy one to trip over. The bonus is paid “around the end of the month following the month you meet all conditions”. Also excluded: top-ups under ¥5,000, a COIN+ balance over the ¥300,000 ceiling, having closed your COIN+ account, and top-ups made through the HOT PEPPER Beauty, HOT PEPPER Gourmet, Shiftboard or MUJI passport apps.

You can’t have this and Recruit’s top-up campaign. MUFG’s terms say that registering for this campaign excludes you from Recruit’s AirWallet top-up campaign, and Recruit’s terms (ID verification plus ¥15,000 in cumulative top-ups for ¥2,000, 25 August – 28 September) return the favour by excluding anyone who registered for MUFG’s first top-up campaign on or after 25 August 2026. They rule each other out, so take the bigger one — MUFG’s.

You don’t have to spend the ¥30,000. It just moves from your bank account into your own COIN+ balance, and sending it back to the bank costs nothing and works from ¥1. If you don’t have an MUFG account yet, the bank also runs an account-referral plan. You open a new ordinary deposit account through the スマート口座開設アプリ (or the MDC app), then register with a referral code and your account number by the end of the month after opening. The referred side receives ¥1,500 in cash, paid by the end of the second month after your account is opened. The stated restriction is on other MUFG campaigns conditional on opening an account, which reads as a different bucket from the top-up bonus. But as above — do not create your COIN+ account inside that app.

If you’re opening several accounts to compare, Dai-ichi Life NEOBANK: ¥1,500 to Open, 1.5% Debit Cashback and JRE BANK (40% off Shinkansen tickets) are the two worth looking at next.

Two cashback offers, and they work together

Everything above pays out just for signing up. If you’re actually going to spend money, two more stack on top.

OfferBackApplies toPeriod
First Visa card payment30% (capped at ¥1,000)Virtual or physical card (counted together)1–30 Sep
QR / barcode payment15% (capped at ¥500)QR and barcode only (not the Visa card)1–30 Sep

Both need registration with your Recruit ID. Both are scheduled to pay out in early November 2026.

The 30% is for people who had never paid with the AirWallet Visa card as of the campaign start. The terms add that anyone who had ever completed a payment (settled) before the campaign began still counts as “having paid”, even if that transaction was later cancelled or returned — so a small test payment you then cancel does not give the slot back. For those who qualify, ¥3,334 of spending hits the ¥1,000 cap exactly. The official announcement confirms the card now works for Amazon and in-app purchases (any Visa merchant), but the exclusions matter here: buying goods on Amazon counts, while topping up an Amazon gift card does not. The terms name them outright under “payments not eligible” — Amazon gift certificates, Apple Gift Cards, Google Play cards and similar vouchers, transport IC cards, e-money and top-ups to other payment services. Also excluded: subscription payments, overseas handling fees, easily resold goods such as Shinkansen tickets and precious metals, online casinos, purchases of shares, bonds, foreign currency, crypto and investment trusts, and any payment that was returned or cancelled (an exchange counts as a return).

Official AirWallet notice: 30% back on your first payment with the virtual card, capped at 1,000 yen of COIN+ balance for the period. Runs 1 to 30 September 2026
AirWallet’s official notice. It runs 1–30 September 2026 and the cap is ¥1,000 for the whole period.

The 15% terms state outright that you may take part alongside the concurrent “up to 30% back on AirWallet Visa payments” campaign, so the two do combine. The payment methods are split, though: the 15% terms exclude prepaid Visa card payments. In practice that means pay by card for the 30% and by QR for the 15%, on separate purchases.

The two offers also build their exclusions differently. The 30% excludes by type of payment (Amazon gift certificates and other vouchers, top-ups to other services, and so on), while the 15% instead publishes a list of excluded shops, prefecture by prefecture. If you already know where you will be paying by QR, check that list first.

Order matters: what you do first decides what you can claim

Lay the conditions side by side and it becomes clear that the sequence is itself a condition. Five rules:

  1. Create your COIN+ account in the AirWallet app and enter the referral code on the sign-up screen. Create it through a bank’s account-opening app and the ¥300 is void.
  2. Redeem the LINE gift code before anything else. MINISTOP’s and LAWSON’s ¥2,000 is explicitly conditional on having redeemed the code first.
  3. Only requests submitted after 00:00 on 14 September count for that ¥2,000. If you verified earlier, take Uta-Pri or WEGO instead.
  4. Make the MUFG top-up ¥30,000 on the first go, and make sure the phone number you register matches your COIN+ account.
  5. Work in deadline order. Referral code 28 September 23:59; MINISTOP, LAWSON and both cashback offers 30 September 23:59. Verification can take over a week, so anything you want from September needs submitting this week.

Questions people ask

Can I claim the ¥880, ¥605, ¥540 and ¥288 together?
No. All four sets of terms exclude anyone who has taken part in a previous AirWallet LINE campaign and redeemed a gift code, so it’s one per person.
Then can I have the ¥300 referral and the ¥5,000 from MUFG on top?
Yes. The LINE offers, the referral programme, MUFG’s first top-up bonus and the cashback offers are separate buckets, and none of their exclusion lists names the others. Two exceptions: MUFG’s first top-up and Recruit’s “¥15,000 cumulative for ¥2,000” rule each other out; and the MINISTOP/LAWSON ¥2,000 excludes anyone receiving a verification bonus through another promotion, so it may not combine with a different offer that also hinges on ID verification.
Do I have to spend the ¥30,000?
No. It moves into your own COIN+ balance, and sending it back to your bank is free and works from ¥1 (up to ¥300,000 per 24 hours). But the tier is set by your first top-up, so a small test top-up costs you the ¥5,000 tier permanently.
Can existing AirWallet users take part?
It depends on the offer. The four LINE offers are open to anyone who has never redeemed a gift code before. MUFG’s first top-up excludes anyone who topped up from an MUFG account on or before 31 May 2026. The 30% cashback is for people who had never paid with the Visa card as of the campaign start.
What do I need for ID verification?
Either a My Number Card or a driving licence. A licence with a sticker over the notes field on the back may not be accepted, in which case use the My Number Card. COIN+ is unavailable while the review runs, so avoid submitting on a day you need to pay for something.

For the largest total, take the MINISTOP route — 540 + 2,000 + referral 300 + MUFG 5,000 = ¥7,840, or ¥9,340 with both cashback offers. If you have already been through ID verification, go for Uta-Pri or WEGO, which also have the roomier deadlines. The previous round is still written up at AirWallet’s June Campaign Round-up, which gives you a feel for how often these come around.
