One Karubi (ワンカルビ) is one of Japan’s big yakiniku chains — most of its restaurants are in the Kansai region, with more in Kyushu and the Tokyo area. In April 2026 its operator, 1&D, launched a free app that covers One Karubi and seven sister brands, including Kin no Buta (shabu-shabu) and Aburiya.
Tucked inside the app is a 100-question trivia challenge called Quiz Dining. Clear all 100 and you earn 1,400 points. Add the 500-point sign-up bonus and 100 points for checking in at the restaurant, and you have exactly 2,000 — enough for a ¥2,000-off coupon. Most of One Karubi’s weekday lunch sets cost less than that, so the bill can come to nothing.
The catch: one wrong answer sends you back to question 1. That’s why this guide lists all 100 answers by where the correct option sits on screen. Just want the answers? Skip straight to them.
- 500 (sign-up) + 1,400 (quiz) + 100 (check-in) = 2,000 points
- 2,000 points = a ¥2,000-off coupon; 1 point is worth ¥1
- One Karubi’s weekday lunch sets (12:00–14:00) cost ¥858–¥1,716 incl. tax, so ¥0 after the coupon
- Hitting 2,000 lifetime points also unlocks Lv.5 and a ¥1,000-off coupon
- 17 of the 100 answers can be checked against the operator’s official website
How 2,000 points add up
Two of the three steps happen at home. The last 100 points come when you walk into the restaurant.
| How you earn | Points | Running total |
|---|---|---|
| Sign up | 500 | 500 |
| Reach question 20 | 100 | 600 |
| Reach question 40 | 100 | 700 |
| Reach question 60 | 100 | 800 |
| Reach question 80 | 100 | 900 |
| Answer all 100 correctly | 1,000 | 1,900 |
| Check in at the restaurant | 100 | 2,000 |

- Sign-up bonus: the official site says the 500 points can be used as soon as you register
- The quiz: three options per question; miss one and you start again from question 1. You get 100 points at questions 20, 40, 60 and 80, and 1,000 for a perfect run (as shown in the app)
- Check-in points: scan the app screen on the ordering tablet or the QR code at the entrance. They only count on the day of your visit
The questions cover the company’s history, its restaurants and even obscure beef cuts, so guessing your way through is hopeless. With the list below, at five or six seconds a question, the whole thing takes about ten minutes.
The app is Japanese-only: what you need to know
The app and the quiz are entirely in Japanese — the App Store lists Japanese as the only language. You don’t need to read much, though. These are the words you’ll actually tap:
You register with an email address and password. If you change phones, log in again with the same details to keep your membership. For the quiz itself, our list gives both the position of the correct option and its exact Japanese text, so you can match it by shape even if you can’t read it.
All 100 quiz answers
The three options are stacked on screen. Top = first, Mid = second, Btm = third. The Japanese next to each number is the wording of the correct option — use it to spot a question that has changed. A ✓ means the answer can be checked on the official website (see the next section).
17 answers you can check against official sources
Plenty of the questions are about 1&D itself. For 17 of them, the answer matches what the company publishes in its company profile, history and store lists (all in Japanese):
The rest are mostly about beef offal cuts and restaurant rules, which aren’t published anywhere. For those, just tap the position in the list.
What the ¥2,000 coupon covers
The coupon comes off the total, so anything up to ¥2,000 is free and you pay only the difference above that. All prices are from the official websites as of September 26, 2026, including tax.

Weekend lunch buffet and dinner: ¥2,000 off
One Karubi’s all-you-can-eat lunch on weekends and holidays (12:00–14:00) is ¥3,278 for adults, or ¥1,278 with the coupon. Eight branches don’t offer it: Niiza, Sagamihara Hoshigaoka, Rurara Kohoku, Yamato Kamiwada, Kawasaki Miyamae, Hanakoganei, Tachikawa Hinobashi and Ome. The dinner “Otegaru” yakiniku buffet drops from ¥4,158 to ¥2,158.

Using the coupon at the restaurant
- Before you go: make sure you have 1,900 points
Sign-up (500) plus a perfect quiz (1,400) gets you there. Don’t swap for a coupon yet — coupons expire once issued. - At your table: check in
Scan the app screen on the ordering tablet, or the QR code at the entrance, for 100 check-in points. That takes you to 2,000. Check-in points only count on the day of your visit. - Swap points for the ¥2,000 coupon
Open ポイント交換 (point exchange) and redeem 2,000 points for お会計金額から2,000円OFF (¥2,000 off your bill). - Order
On weekdays from 12:00 to 14:00, participating branches serve the lunch sets. If your bill is ¥2,000 or less, you pay nothing. - Show the coupon when you pay
Open クーポン (coupons) from the bottom menu and show it to the staff. Tap 使う (use) only after they have checked it, then let them scan the barcode. Once tapped, 使う can’t be undone. - Save the rank-up coupon for next time
Reaching 2,000 lifetime points moves you up to Lv.5 and adds a ¥1,000-off coupon. Only one coupon works per bill, so keep it for your next visit.

Point exchange and member ranks
Point exchange: 1 point = ¥1
Points are swapped for coupons under ポイント交換 (point exchange). Discount coupons cost the same number of points as their face value — 500, 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000. There are small perks too, such as an extra dessert for 200 points. The menu changes from time to time, so go by what the app shows.
Ranks: they never go down
Your rank is based on lifetime points earned. In the official site’s words, ranks “never drop” — spending points doesn’t reduce your lifetime total.
- Lv.5 Meat Elite (ミートエリート): reached at 2,000 lifetime points, with a ¥1,000-off rank-up coupon
- Lv.10 Meat God (ミートゴッド): the top rank shown in the official promo images; working back from the screens, it takes 20,000 lifetime points
So after signing up, finishing the quiz and making your first visit, you’ll be holding both a ¥2,000 coupon and a ¥1,000 one. Use the ¥2,000 today and keep the ¥1,000 for next time.

More ways to earn points
- Daily lucky draw: one free spin a day when you open the app. Fridays 19:00–21:00 are the “golden time,” with better odds
- Check-ins: every visit earns check-in points
- Birthday month: register your own birthday plus one family member’s or friend’s, and each of you gets a gift coupon in your birthday month (the App Store example is 10% off the bill)
- The 1st of every month: app-only coupons go out; the official images say to check on the 1st
- Extras: a kids’ drink lottery for a free refill, photo frames, a “Suki NOTE” for logging favorite dishes, and a hidden door somewhere in the app
