Limited Ingredients That Recreate the World of Godzilla

Despair Black Jjigae Broth (Red Jjigae Miso Broth + Black Mayu)

This collaboration-only broth is inspired by the despair of Godzilla’s approach. A Korean-style red jjigae miso broth, balanced between heat and umami, is paired with jet-black mayu (burnt garlic oil) for a Godzilla-sized kick. The black mayu brings the toasty aroma of charred garlic and a bold, punchy flavor.

A perfect match is the pork belly that returned to the menu on October 1. Prized for its ideal balance of lean meat and fat, it develops a deep, rich flavor in the broth and is addictively good with the Despair Black Jjigae Broth.

Godzilla Dorsal Fin Gyoza

Dropped into the Despair Black Jjigae Broth, these dumplings look like Godzilla’s dorsal fins cutting through the sea. Packed with a savory filling, they are hard to stop eating.

Godzilla-Style Jet-Black Cheese Dumplings

A chewy, jet-black wrapper inspired by Godzilla gives way to rich, molten cheese.

Three Recommended Godzilla-Themed Arrangements

Godzilla Footprint Curry

Boil your favorite vegetables, plate them with rice and the special curry, then top with the jet-black cheese dumplings and salad lettuce. Finish by arranging ichimi chili pepper on the rice in the shape of Godzilla’s footprint. The melting cheese pairs beautifully with the vegetable-packed curry.

Despair Spicy Mazemen

Boil Chinese noodles, pork belly, wood ear mushrooms and lotus root in the Despair Black Jjigae Broth, plate them, and toss with crunchy chili oil and doubanjiang mayonnaise. The lingering heat and the texture of black wood ear mushrooms, reminiscent of Godzilla, make this a guilty-pleasure noodle dish.

Godzilla Tail Rising from the Sea Parfait

Make blue Hawaii jelly using blue Hawaii syrup, jelly mix and ice. In a parfait cup, add whipped cream, strawberry sauce, coffee jelly, cornflakes, blue Hawaii jelly and soft-serve ice cream. Sprinkle cocoa powder and cocoa biscuits over the soft-serve to complete Godzilla’s tail towering above the sea. Coffee and chocolate give it a grown-up flavor.
