Shabuyo’s “Happy Halloween Campaign” Starts October 1
Shabuyo (しゃぶ葉), the all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu chain operated by Skylark Restaurants Co., Ltd., will hold a family-friendly “Happy Halloween Campaign” at all of its restaurants for a limited time, from Thursday, October 1 to Saturday, October 31, 2026. Highlights include the return of the popular pumpkin puree for making pumpkin pudding, the debut of Halloween picks, an AR camera that lets you dress up in matching costumes with the Shabuyo Friends characters, and the Neko Robo cat robots in Halloween outfits. It’s a “no-prep” way to enjoy the Halloween mood, with no costumes or decorations required.

Campaign Overview
- Period: Thursday, October 1 – Saturday, October 31, 2026
- Locations: All Shabuyo restaurants
- Elementary school children: ¥1,099 (tax included) for every all-you-can-eat course at any time of day (excluding the raw snow crab all-you-can-eat course)
- Preschoolers: Free

Highlight 1: Create Your Own Halloween Dessert with Limited-Edition Items
One of the joys of Shabuyo is making and customizing your own desserts. For this campaign, two limited items make it even easier to create Halloween-themed treats.
The Pumpkin Puree for Pumpkin Pudding Is Back
The popular Halloween-only pumpkin puree is making a comeback. It couldn’t be simpler: while making the regular “Torori Pudding” (silky pudding), just add the pumpkin puree to the pudding base. The result is a smooth “Torori Pumpkin Pudding” packed with pumpkin flavor. Since anyone can make it easily, it’s a great activity to try together with your kids.
Halloween arrangement ideas suggested by Shabuyo include the “Floating Ghost Pudding” and the “Jack-o’-Lantern Pumpkin Pudding.” Freely combining the wide range of dessert ingredients is another part of the fun.
New: Halloween Picks You Simply Stick In
The other limited item is the Halloween pick, introduced at Shabuyo for the first time. Just stick one into the dessert you’ve made, and it instantly takes on a Halloween look. Even if you’re not confident in your plating skills, you can easily create a festive Halloween treat. Note that Halloween picks are available in limited quantities, only while supplies last.

Highlight 2: Dress Up Without a Costume with the “Shabuyo Friends Halloween AR Camera”
Halloween means dressing up, but preparing a costume can be surprisingly time-consuming. Shabuyo is introducing a Halloween-only AR camera that lets you enjoy dressing up without any costume at all.
- Launches when you scan the QR code on the POP display at each table with your smartphone
- Features six Shabuyo Friends characters
- Transform into costumes that match the Shabuyo Friends, such as a witch
- Up to five people can be photographed together
The best part is that you can transform into the same look as the characters right at your table, without bringing a costume. It’s an easy way to capture memories of your meal with family and friends.

Highlight 3: Neko Robo Greets Guests in Halloween Costume
Neko Robo, the cat robot popular with children, gets a Halloween-exclusive wrap during the campaign. It comes in two designs themed on a “witch” and “pumpkin overalls,” welcoming guests to the restaurant. Please note that Neko Robo is not available at some locations.
Family-Friendly Pricing at Shabuyo
Shabuyo’s dining system makes it easy for parents and kids to eat their fill. Elementary school children pay ¥1,099 (tax included) for every all-you-can-eat course at any time of day (excluding the raw snow crab all-you-can-eat course), and preschoolers eat free.
All restaurants also provide “kids’ scissors,” so you can visit empty-handed even with little ones. From a choice of soup broths to handmade desserts, the lineup can be customized however you like.
Summary
Shabuyo’s “Happy Halloween Campaign” lets families enjoy Halloween over a meal, with pumpkin pudding made from pumpkin puree, desserts decorated with Halloween picks, costume photos via the AR camera, and Neko Robo dressed for Halloween. Since no costumes or decorations are needed, it’s worth considering for a family meal out in October.
