COCO’S Kicks Off the Shine Muscat Fair on September 15
COCO’S Japan Co., Ltd. (President: Naoya Ichiki; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo), a family restaurant chain under Zensho Holdings, will hold its Shine Muscat Fair nationwide starting Tuesday, September 15, 2026. The lineup features five desserts made with Shine Muscat grapes, prized for their crisp, juicy texture and refreshing sweetness — a perfect match for Japan’s lingering late-summer heat. The fair is scheduled for 504 restaurants across Japan (as of September 8), excluding airport locations, and is set to end in mid-October.
A COCO’S Record: The Shine Muscat Parfait with 14 Grapes
Shine Muscat Parfait — 1,690 yen (1,859 yen incl. tax)
The star of this year’s fair is a showstopping parfait built with 14 fresh Shine Muscat grapes, the most ever used in a COCO’S dessert. The top is crowned with sliced grapes plus seven whole grapes, delivering that signature crisp pop and juicy, refreshing flavor that only a whole grape can offer.
The middle layers combine muscat gelato, vanilla ice cream, custard cream, chardonnay syrup, cut sponge cake and biscuit chips for a flavor reminiscent of a muscat tart. Crunchy biscuit chips and candied almonds add textural contrast, while the grapes suspended in clear, crisp chardonnay jelly create a wonderfully cooling look.

Muscat gelato and feather-like slices of Shine Muscat make this glass parfait as beautiful as it is delicious. Inside a wine glass, gently sweet vanilla ice cream, juicy grapes, crunchy biscuit chips and lightly sweetened chardonnay jelly are elegantly layered. Cut sponge cake and airy whipped cream give it a shortcake feel, with rich white chocolate flakes as the finishing accent.
Pure-Ice Fluffy Shaved Ice, Mini! Shine Muscat — 690 yen (759 yen incl. tax)
COCO’S summer staple returns for the fair, topped with fresh Shine Muscat, white chocolate flakes and biscuit chips. The richness of the white chocolate and the crunch of the biscuit chips play beautifully against the fluffy ice. Pour on the aromatic chardonnay syrup and mellow milk syrup to enjoy.
Shine Muscat Chewy Crêpe — 590 yen (649 yen incl. tax)
A pleasantly chewy crêpe filled with whipped cream and topped with Shine Muscat, crisp chardonnay jelly, muscat gelato and soft whipped cream. The translucent jelly adds a refreshing visual touch.
Mini! Shine Muscat Parfait — 490 yen (539 yen incl. tax)
A dessert-sized parfait topped with Shine Muscat, muscat gelato and vanilla ice cream. Biscuit chips add crunch, while chardonnay-flavored syrup and jelly leave a clean, refreshing finish.
Limited-Time Muscat & Elderflower Tea and Recommended Pairings
To accompany the fair, COCO’S is offering a limited-time Muscat & Elderflower Tea brewed with fair-trade tea leaves from Kenya. The fruity aroma of muscat pairs beautifully with the elegant floral notes of elderflower, making it the recommended match for the Shine Muscat Parfait. Darjeeling is suggested for the glass parfait, crisp and clean Uva for the shaved ice, and smoky, low-astringency Keemun for the chewy crêpe.
Zensho Holdings and Fair Trade
Guided by its corporate philosophy of “eradicating hunger and poverty from the world,” Zensho Holdings began fair-trade sourcing in 2007 and now operates in 24 countries. Through its own direct-partnership fair trade model, employees visit producing regions in person, purchase raw materials at fair prices, and support farming technique training, education infrastructure and living-standard improvements. In Kenya, black tea fair trade began in July 2009 with sourcing from the Kangaita and Rukuriri districts, where social development funds have supported daycare renovations for working parents, the construction of a public library, and the establishment of school libraries.
