Pottery shopping and workshops
Hasami ware (波佐見焼) is the main draw. The event brings together pottery sellers and hands-on activities, so you can browse tableware and also learn something about how it is made. The organizer describes discounted sales of production seconds as part of its effort to reduce waste; no blanket discount rate is announced.
The following are selected pottery exhibitors from the published lineup, rather than the full list.
| Selected exhibitor |
|---|
| natural69 |
| SAIKAI |
| Tomo’s Factory |
| EARTH PEACE |
| Cheer house |
| aiwa |

Hands-on activities and pottery demonstrations
| Participant | Announced activity |
|---|---|
| Nakaoyama Denshukan (中尾山伝習館) | Cut-paper pottery decoration and pottery-shard accessory workshops |
| Nagasaki Prefectural Ceramic Research Center (長崎県窯業技術センター) | An introduction to what goes on behind the scenes in pottery production |
| Hasami Town Office (波佐見町役場) | A height-measuring post for comparing children’s heights and a children’s space |

Before choosing a workshop, ask about the fee, age suitability and whether the finished piece can be taken home that day. These details are not given in the announcement.
Sticker rally: how the rewards work
The new rally connects pottery shopping, market purchases and activities. The announcement specifies one sticker per checkout or experience and lists these participation conditions:
- Spend at least ¥1,000 (tax included) on pottery at each of two pottery stalls.
- Make a purchase or take part in an activity at two participating market stalls, food trucks or workshops.
- Follow the event’s Instagram account and make a social media post.
Ask the rally staff how the purchase threshold is applied at each stall and how the social media step is verified. The announcement does not fully explain the counting procedure.
| Stickers collected | Reward |
|---|---|
| 3 | ¥300-off coupon for use at pottery sellers |
| 5 | A choice of Hasami ware or 1 kg of rice |

Limited food menus and a place to picnic
HASAMI PICNIC provides a space on the park’s lawn to eat food purchased at the event. Artificial-turf sheets, tables and cushions are available to borrow free of charge. A children’s space is also announced.

Four special menu items are announced for October 31–November 3. Prices below include tax.
| Vendor and menu | Price | Published limit |
|---|---|---|
| Pudding specialist mojito (プリン専門店mojito): sweet potato pudding (スイートポテトプリン), with an Anno sweet potato topping | ¥600 | 10–20 per day |
| hacciman’s: Shiitake Cheese Burger, with a cooked shiitake mushroom sauce | ¥1,300, burger only | 15 servings; the announcement does not specify whether this is a daily limit |
| cafe 16: event-only fried chicken (イベント限定!鶏のから揚げ), also available as a topping for the regular curry | ¥600 | Until sold out |
| Kissashitsu Hanare (喫茶室はなれ): sweet potato caramel pound cake (さつまいものキャラメルパウンドケーキ) | ¥500 | 10 servings per day |
The wider market lineup changes by date. If a particular vendor is the reason for your trip, check the day-by-day list in the official announcement. JA Nagasaki Kenou (JA長崎県央) is also preparing bagging of mandarin oranges and sales including Nagasaki wagyu; those plans are described as being in preparation.
For phone charging during a day out, our d VALUE PASS and ChargeSPOT guide explains the separate service. Charger availability at this venue is not confirmed.
Why the event connects pottery with farming
HASAMI no WA began in 2021 around a local reuse project. Plaster molds used to shape ceramics gradually wear out. The project crushes spent molds and supplies the material to farmers for soil improvement, connecting the pottery industry with agriculture in the same area.
The event has since developed into a broader gathering for pottery, food and local activities. Discounted production seconds are another way sellers work to avoid waste.
Original merchandise
An original item featuring a design based on the outline of Hasami Town will go on sale at the venue from October 31, 2026. The announced price is ¥990 including tax, with 100 available. The release does not clearly name the item type, so check the actual product before buying.
If you are comparing this visit with other leisure outings, our Asoview campaign guide covers a separate promotion. Do not assume those discounts apply to HASAMI no WA.
