(headquarters: Musashino City, Tokyo; President: Kazutoshi Kawarabuki) will launch the Orange Sauce Karaage Set Meal at its tonkatsu chain Matsunoya from 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. The new item gives the chain’s signature crispy fried chicken a summer twist by pairing it with a sweet, tangy and refreshing orange sauce, making it easy to enjoy even when the heat dulls the appetite.
Authentic Karaage Marinated in a House-Made Seasoning
Matsunoya’s karaage is slowly marinated in a special house-made blend seasoned with ginger and garlic before being fried to a golden crisp. The chicken is deeply flavored, crunchy on the outside and juicy inside, delivering a generous, satisfying portion that keeps customers coming back.
This time, that signature karaage is paired with an orange sauce that balances sweetness and tartness. As the sauce coats the freshly fried crust, it cuts through the richness typical of deep-fried food for a lighter finish. Sales begin at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Matsunoya locations nationwide, excluding some stores. Please note that the Orange Sauce Thick-Cut Chicken Breast Katsu Set Meal and its a la carte version will not be sold at combined Matsuya and Matsunoya locations.
All items are available for takeout, though miso soup for takeout requires an additional charge. Shareholder benefit vouchers can be used for the Orange Sauce Karaage (5 pcs) Set Meal, the Orange Sauce Karaage (8 pcs) Set Meal and the Orange Sauce Thick-Cut Chicken Breast Katsu Set Meal, but not for a la carte items.
