Tsukiji Gindaco, Japan’s best-known takoyaki chain, is bringing back its yearly takoyaki all-you-can-eat (tabehodai). It runs as a special event of AEON’s “Super! BLACK FRIDAY FES” from Tuesday, November 24 to Friday, November 27, 2026 at 37 Gindaco shops inside AEON Malls and AEON stores nationwide. Adults pay ¥1,089 for 45 minutes.
The catch: seats are first-come, first-served and can only be booked in person on Monday, November 9, at the shop or a special booking area in the mall. Phone bookings are not accepted, and Gindaco itself calls the event one that sells out every year. Below you’ll find each store’s booking spot and hours, how many pieces you need to eat to get your money’s worth, and what changed from last year.

Only the signature sauce flavor is unlimited, and everything comes in boats of 6. If you also want flavors like green onion (negidako) or teriyaki-mayo with egg (teritama), add the ¥275 option explained below.
How many takoyaki to break even?
On Gindaco’s official menu, a regular 8-piece sauce takoyaki is ¥650 before tax, or ¥715 if you eat in. That works out to about ¥89 per piece. Divide the all-you-can-eat price by that and you get the break-even point:
Based on the regular 8-piece price (¥715 eat-in). 1 boat = 6 pieces
- Junior high and up (¥1,089): 13 pieces. Two boats (12) fall just short, so you break even once you start your third boat
- Elementary (¥594): 7 pieces, the first piece of the second boat
- Preschool (¥253): 3 pieces, half a boat
- With the topping option (¥1,364): priced against the regular topping flavors (8 pieces ¥750 before tax, ¥825 eat-in, about ¥103 each), it’s 14 pieces, again on the third boat
For adults, the simple test is “can I finish three boats?” If two boats will fill you up, it’s about the same as just ordering off the regular menu.
¥275 add-ons: 5 topping flavors and free-flow drinks
Pay ¥275 extra (tax incl.) and the topping flavors (6 pieces each) become all-you-can-eat too. Another ¥275 (tax incl.) adds free-flow soft drinks.

- You can also add them on the day
- But adding them after your session starts does not extend the 45 minutes, so add them at the start
How to book: in person on Monday, Nov 9
Bookings are taken only at the shop or at a special booking area. There’s no phone booking. On Monday, November 9, go to the booking spot set for your store and pick a session.
Book on Nov 9, eat on Nov 24–27, during AEON Mall’s “Super! BLACK FRIDAY FES”
- Check your store’s booking spot and hours (see the store list). The earliest start at 8:00 a.m.
- Before the mall opens, wait at the designated waiting point, then choose a session at the booking area. One session per person, up to 4 people
- Take your booking slip to the shop’s register and pay the same day. Unpaid slips become invalid from the next day
- Get your stamps when you pay (2 for junior high and up, 1 for elementary). They can’t be added later
- Show up at your booked time between Nov 24 and 27
Stores with seats left after the booking-area hours will keep taking bookings at the shop. Sold-out stores are added to Gindaco’s booking status sheet (PDF, Japanese), though Gindaco notes the website may lag behind what’s happening in store.

Each session lasts 45 minutes with up to 12 people. Which sessions run, and how many seats each has, differs by store, so check at the booking area.
The event runs Tuesday to Friday only. If you work or study, the 18:00, 19:00 and 20:00 sessions are the realistic ones. Also, AEON Mall Nagoya Dome-mae is scheduled for Nov 24 and 25 only.

- Earliest start: Asahikawa Ekimae and Shin-Rifu at 8:00, then AEON Itabashi at 8:30
- Tsukuba and AEON Shinonome take bookings for just two hours (9:00–11:00); Tomakomai, Toin, Kitaoji and Kurashiki also have two-hour windows

The main price hasn’t changed. Two things did: the drinks add-on went from ¥242 to ¥275, now the same as the topping option, and the topping lineup now includes this autumn’s limited flavors, Demi-tama Cheese and Mochi Cheese Mentai.

Tips and things to watch out for
- Check the booking hours first: some stores start at 8:00 a.m., others close bookings after just two hours. Booking spots vary too, from food court corners to outdoor entrances
- One person can buy up to 4 seats, in one session only: you can book for family or friends, but a second session needs a second person in line
- Pay for your slip the same day: booking areas mostly run before the mall opens, so head to the register once the shop opens
- Under-16s need a parent or guardian: a group of junior high students can’t go on their own
- Add options at the start: adding later won’t extend your 45 minutes
- Stamps are only given when you pay for your booking: 2 for junior high and up, 1 for elementary, and no stamping later, so bring the Gindaco app or your paper card
