Shinjuku Takashimaya is marking its 30th anniversary with its popular Great Hokkaido Fair, running from Wednesday, October 21 to Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (a national holiday). Around 80 shops, chosen by Takashimaya buyers based in Hokkaido, fill the 11th-floor event hall with ramen, seafood bento, meat bento, sweets and bread.
This year the theme is two Hokkaido staples: sweet corn (known locally as tokibi, とうきび) and scallops. The catch is that many items are sold in only one of the two weeks, and most have a daily limit. Below, the menu is sorted so you can pick the right day.

Tips before you go
- Pick your week first. The first-week seafood (the Sarufutsu collab bowl and the sushi scallop set) will not come back in week 2, and most corn desserts do not start until October 28.
- Daily limits are tight. The Sarufutsu bowl is limited to 20 servings a day. Items disappear once they sell out, so go early for the scarcer ones.
- Hours and admission are not in the release. Check the official event page or call 03-5361-1111 before heading out.
- Payment. Accepted payment methods are not listed either. If you are still setting up a card in Japan, our guide to credit cards for foreigners in Japan explains which one to apply for first.
