Pan Marche 26 (第26回 パンマルシェ) brings bread from across Japan to Nagoya’s Oasis 21 on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, a public holiday. Around 70 shops are expected, with bakery stalls, mail-order bread from distant bakeries, tasting booths and activities for adults and children.
The festival runs from 10:00 to 16:00, with sales ending when stock runs out. General admission is free, although some areas charge a fee. Oasis 21 is directly connected to Sakae Station, making this an easy outing to plan around public transport.

Check the official Pan Marche website for the latest shop list and activity announcements before setting out.

What bread will be available?

The appeal is the mix of direct bakery sales and bread sourced from shops outside the area. You can browse stalls run by bakeries themselves, then pick up products from far-off shops without making a special trip.
Gluten-free bread and sweets are also planned. The announcement does not give a complete product list, ingredient information or individual prices, so check those details with each seller. A gluten-free selection should not be treated as confirmation that every product or stall meets a particular dietary requirement.

Buying directly also gives you a chance to ask about the bread before choosing. If there is a particular shop you want to visit, check the final lineup first: participating shops, products and activities may change.

Races, tastings and hands-on activities
There is more to do than shop. The programme includes a bread-eating race, visitor voting and a project that gives used flour sacks a second life.
| Activity or booth | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Bread-eating race (パン食い競走) | An activity for adults and children, starting from 11:00. Check participation details on the official website. |
| Popular Bread Ranking (人気パンランキング) | Visitors vote for their favourite bread. |
| Flour-Sack Eco-Bag Project (粉袋エコバッグプロジェクト) | A reuse project involving bags originally used for flour. |
| nutella | A tasting and experience booth is planned. |
| Meiji Bulgaria Yogurt (明治ブルガリアヨーグルト) | A tasting and experience booth is planned. |

The festival opening time is not the start time for every activity. The mail-order bread and Ishiwa Select Shop section and the bread-eating race both start at 11:00. Check the individual schedules if one of them is your main reason for going.

The projects behind PAN MARCHE+
This edition also introduces PAN MARCHE+, which connects the enjoyment of bread with local issues and support for children.
Bamboo Project
The Bamboo Project (竹プロジェクト) uses bread to introduce the issue of neglected bamboo groves. Incorporating bamboo-derived ingredients such as menma into bread offers a familiar starting point for learning about that issue. The announcement describes the idea, but does not specify a full menu or prices.
Children’s Dream Ticket
Children’s Dream Ticket (こどもゆめチケット) is a project by students at Akashi National College of Technology. It helps children enjoy a meal by letting one person’s support be passed on to another. The project will be introduced at the venue; check the on-site explanation for how to take part.
