Five local breweries, five tasting pours and a reusable cup, at Suzuhiro Kamaboko no Sato
A two-day craft beer festival is coming to Odawara in western Kanagawa on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November 2026. Five breweries from the Odawara and Hakone area will pour at Suzuhiro Kamaboko no Sato (鈴廣かまぼこの里), the kamaboko fish-cake complex run by Suzuhiro Kamaboko (鈴廣かまぼこ株式会社). One ticket gets you a beer from each brewery and an event cup to take home.
Here is what has been confirmed so far, what the ticket covers, and what is still to be announced.

Ticket price and what it includes
This is not a pay-per-glass festival. The entry fee is a set tasting ticket:
- Nyo Club (如倶楽部) members: ¥3,500 (tax included)
- General: ¥4,000 (tax included)
Either price covers a flight of five beers, one glass from each brewery, plus the festival’s limited-edition reusable cup. So the idea is to walk the stalls with your cup and compare all five producers side by side.
The five breweries
All five brew in the western part of Kanagawa, around Odawara and Hakone. Each has its own distinct character, which is what makes the flight of five worthwhile.
| Brewery | Based in | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| Cowboy Craft (カウボーイクラフト) | Odawara | Uses US-made brewing equipment to brew small batches in many styles; also takes on small-lot original beers and contract brewing. |
| GORA BREWERY | Gora, Hakone | Launched in 2017 as Hakone’s first craft beer brand. Brews with Hakone spring water around the theme of food pairing; opened a second brewery in Kowakudani in 2023. |
| HUMANS BEER | Yugawara | Founded in 2021 by two brewers from Ontario, Canada, aiming for beer that puts a smile on anyone’s face. |
| Odawara Garage Brewing (小田原ガレージブリューイング) | Near Midoricho Station, Odawara | Works local Odawara produce into its beers and sees beer as a way to bring people together. |
| Hakone Beer (箱根ビール) | Suzuhiro (organizer) | Suzuhiro’s own beer since 1997, brewed with Hakone Hyakunen-sui (箱根百年水) groundwater to suit fish and Japanese food. Has used local ingredients such as Kataura lemon and Tanzawa Oyama tea. |
Note that the beers from Cowboy Craft and HUMANS BEER will be served by Suzuhiro staff, not by the breweries themselves.
The reusable festival cup
Every ticket holder gets a cup made just for this festival. The event logo sits in the middle, ringed by the logos of the five breweries. The logo shows the Hakone mountains in bright gold, forming the shape of a beer glass with bubbles rising from it.
You use it for your five tasting pours on the day, and it is yours to keep afterwards.
Still to be announced
Suzuhiro says a second announcement is coming in late October. It is expected to cover:
- The beers each brewery will pour on the day
- Kamaboko and craft beer pairings
- The food menu
- Original merchandise
- What else is happening on site
Until then, the line-up of specific beers and food is unknown. If you care about particular styles, wait for that update before deciding which day to go.
Tips before you go
- Check the member price. If you are already a Nyo Club member, you pay the lower ¥3,500 rate. Whether and how others can join is not covered in the announcement, so check with Suzuhiro.
- Bookmark the official page. Ticket sales, the beer list and food details will all come later. The festival page on the Suzuhiro site is where to look.
- Plan the rest of the day. The organizer pitches the festival as a starting point for exploring Odawara, Hakone and the surrounding area, and the venue sits on the way from Odawara toward Hakone.
- Do not drive. You will be drinking five beers, so plan to get there and back without a car.
