Fukuoka’s Nakasu district will light up from November 2, 2026, through January 12, 2027. Nakasu Hikari no Advent, presented by LANDIC (LANDIC presents ナカス ヒカリノ アドベント), brings illuminated trees and riverside displays to the neighbourhood, with published lighting hours of 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. the following morning.
The twin trees at Fukuhaku Deai Bridge are a focal point, but the displays extend along several surrounding streets. If you want to see the opening ceremony, plan around its separate 6:00 p.m. start on November 2.

What to see around Nakasu
This is a neighbourhood-wide illumination, with different displays along the streets and river. The announcement uses Nakasu Odori in the venue list and Nakasu Chuo-dori in its description of the highlights; keep both names in mind when checking the official information.
Fukuhaku Deai Bridge: twin trees by the river
Fukuhaku Deai Bridge (福博であい橋) features a pair of illuminated trees. The riverside photo below shows their golden lights reflected in the water, offering a different perspective from the bridge itself.

Meiji-dori and Nakagawa-dori: illuminated streets
Meiji-dori (明治通り) and Nakagawa-dori (那珂川通り) are also part of the display area. These streets extend the experience beyond the bridge, with illuminated roadside trees to see as you walk through Nakasu.

Nakasu Chuo-dori: street lights and the jewellery tree
Nakasu Chuo-dori (中洲中央通り) has street illuminations and a landmark tree display. The announcement also highlights the Yukizaki Jewellery Tree (ゆきざき ジュエリーツリー), shown below glowing blue.

The Nakasu illumination began in 2020 under a different name and adopted its current name in 2023. This is its seventh year, while the wider Christmas Advent programme is in its fourteenth year.
Opening ceremony on November 2
The opening ceremony takes place at Fukuhaku Deai Bridge from 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026. A live vocal performance is planned alongside the lighting ceremony.
| Role | Participant |

Sachi is a Tokyo College of Music graduate who moved her base to Kitakyushu in 2016. Her performance background includes appearances at Yokohama Arena and collaborations with the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra.

Before you go
- Check admission and weather arrangements. Neither admission charges nor the rain policy is specified in the supplied announcement.
- Check your journey home separately. A 1:00 a.m. lighting finish does not confirm the availability of late-night transport.
- Confirm the opening-night schedule. The ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m.; the first evening’s switch-on arrangements need checking.
If you are travelling to Fukuoka, our guide to JAL’s Kyushu flight-and-hotel offer is a separate planning resource. Check its booking and travel periods before assuming it covers your illumination visit.
For phone charging while out, see the d VALUE PASS and ChargeSPOT guide; confirm rental locations separately. If you are adding another attraction to your trip, the Asoview campaign guide explains a separate offer whose eligible attractions and dates should also be checked.
