Food trucks and visitor voting

This is a food competition in which visitors help choose the winner. Try the dishes that catch your eye, then vote for your favorite. A market is also part of the event.

For context, the 2025 edition welcomed approximately 3,000 visitors, with 16 food trucks and five market stalls. Its winner was Neko no Taiyaki TONSUKE (ねこのたいやきTONSUKE). These figures describe last year’s event, rather than this year’s lineup.

How the event supports farmers and children

The organizing committee uses profits from the event to buy rice and other produce directly from farmers and producers. Those purchases are then donated to children’s facilities and community cafeterias for children.

The event began in 2023 as a project of Junior Chamber International Kamakura (公益社団法人鎌倉青年会議所), aiming to rebuild local connections through food. The current organizing committee took over in 2024. Kamakura City supports the event, with cooperation from the student group New Columbus (学生団体ニューコロンブス).
