The cookie tins and why to go early

The cookie tins are a joint project of the Chiba Musashino Alliance (千葉武蔵野アライアンス), the partnership between Chiba Bank and Musashino Bank. Last time only Chiba shops took part, and 100 tins sold out about an hour after the sale started.

This round adds shops from Saitama, so the lineup is much bigger. The release does not give prices, the number of tins, or shop names, so the flyer above is the best preview for now.

💡 Given how fast the last batch went, plan to be there close to the start if the cookie tins are your main reason to go. Start time has not been announced yet.

November 15: food trucks for the working vehicles event

The second day is smaller. Chiba City is holding a Civil Engineering Day special event called Hataraku Kuruma Minna Atsumare 2026 (はたらくくるまみんなあつまれ2026), roughly Working Vehicles, Everyone Come Together. To go with it, the marché sets up food trucks and a seating area for eating at the venue.

So November 15 is less about shopping and more about grabbing lunch while the kids look at the vehicles. Details of the vehicle event itself are run by Chiba City, not the bank.

What STAY STREET is

STAY STREET is a social experiment run by a council set up jointly by Chiba Bank, Chiba City, and the Chiba National Highway Office of the Kanto Regional Development Bureau (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism). The aim is to turn the space above National Route 357 into a place where people actually spend time.

The marché is one part of that program. The bank says it wants to keep the space lively over time, so this is a good chance to see a road space used in a way you normally would not. Tips for the day

  • Check the official release for hours before heading out. Nothing about times was in the announcement.
  • Payment methods at each truck and stall were not announced. Bring some cash as a backup, and if you still rely on cash a lot, our guide to credit cards in Japan for foreigners explains which card to get first.
  • Taking lots of photos of the cookie tins and food? A low phone battery is easy to fix with free ChargeSPOT power bank rentals through d VALUE PASS.
  • Families with small kids: November 3 has the character greeting and the rock-paper-scissors game, while November 15 pairs well with the working vehicles event.
