Hula and Tahitian dance stage

The main attraction is a special stage in the middle of the plaza. More than 300 dancers are scheduled to perform hula and Tahitian dance over the two days.
Most of the teams are based in Tokorozawa and the surrounding area. The performers include both children and adults, so styles and age groups vary throughout the day.
The timetable above and the official event page show which team performs at what time. The organizer says that performers and times may change without notice. If you want to see a particular team, check the official page on the morning you go.
Hawaiian food trucks

Food trucks with Hawaiian menus will be parked around the venue. The organizer lists these dishes as examples:
- Steak and garlic shrimp
- Mochiko chicken
- Hawaiian burgers
- Açaí bowls
Not every truck is there on both days. The official page lists which day each truck attends, and the line-up may change without notice. The press release does not give menu prices, so check them at each truck.
Market and workshops

Next to the food area, a market will sell Hawaiian-style clothing, accessories and goods. Some vendors are also running workshops.
Each vendor attends on specific days, which are listed on the official page. As with the food trucks, the line-up may change.
The ¥100,000 ZIPAIR points draw

The festival’s biggest giveaway is a prize draw sponsored by ZIPAIR. One winner each day receives ZIPAIR points worth ¥100,000, which can be used to buy ZIPAIR flights. That makes two winners over the weekend. According to the organizer, the prize equals one Standard-seat round trip for one person on the Honolulu route.
| Prize | ZIPAIR points worth ¥100,000 (one winner per day, two in total) |
|---|---|
| Ticket handout | From 11:30 and from 13:30 each day |
| How tickets are given out | At the venue, first come, first served. Each round ends when its tickets run out. |
| Who can enter | Anyone holding a ticket handed out that day. One entry per person per day. |
| Winner announced | Around 15:00 each day on the central plaza stage |
| Condition to win | You must be at the venue when the winner is announced. If you are not, the prize is void. |
- The prize is points, not a ticket. You use the points to buy a ZIPAIR flight.
- To use the points, you need to join ZIPAIR Point Club.
- The points can only be used for flights departing from Japan, and only for Standard fares in this campaign.
- Travel periods and the number of seats you can book are limited.
- Hotels and any other costs not covered by the points are paid by the winner.
- Points that are not used within the valid period expire.
- You may not pass the prize on to anyone else, and that includes reselling it or listing it at auction.
A round trip may be covered, but you still need to pay for a place to stay. If you are planning a Hawaii trip anyway, our Marriott Bonvoy promotion guide explains how to earn bonus points on hotel stays. For everyday spending in yen, see which credit card to get first in Japan.
How to plan your day
If you want to enter the draw, a few fixed times shape the whole day:
- 11:00 The festival opens. Stage performances, food trucks and the market begin.
- 11:30 First draw-ticket handout. It is first come, first served, so arrive a little early.
- 13:30 Second handout. This is a second chance if you missed the morning round, but each person can still enter only once a day.
- Around 15:00 The winner is announced on the central plaza stage. Be in the plaza by then.
- 17:00 The festival ends.
The press release does not say how many tickets are handed out in each round. Treat the start times as the latest you should arrive, not the earliest.
Tips before you go
- Check the weather plan. Light rain will not stop the festival, but stormy weather will. Before you leave, check the official page or Sakura Town on X. The venue also posts on Instagram.
- Look up the day’s line-up. Stage teams, food trucks and market vendors differ between Saturday and Sunday. The official page lists who appears on which day.
- Keep your phone charged. If you stay until the 15:00 announcement, you will be outdoors for several hours. Our d VALUE PASS and ChargeSPOT guide explains how to rent power banks at no extra cost.
- Make a weekend of it. For other discounted family outings, see the Asoview campaign. For another autumn event with a festival feel, read our Musashino Art University Festival guide.
