July 2026 Japanese Shareholder Perks (Yutai): Cross-Trade Candidates & My Dandadan Holding
⏱ 2026-07-23 🔄 2026-07-23
📑 Key points
- July is one of the thinnest months for yutai (about 45 names), but there are gems.
- Long-term physical holding: just 1 stock — NATTY SWANKY (7674, Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan). Of my 30-plus holdings, it’s the only one with July rights.
- 🧘 My plan this July: do nothing — no cross trades at all; I’ll simply collect the ten Dandadan tickets from my NATTY shares. The cross candidates below are for readers who want to play.
- Cross-trade candidates: Torikizoku, Yamaokaya, Hatena (one-time 10th-anniversary 25,000-yen gift), Casa, Inaba Seisakusho, Morozoff, Nippon Parking Development.
- 🔥 Watch the gyakuhibu (reverse daily fee) risk: for headline names like Hatena and Torikizoku, standardized-margin crosses can incur painful fees — use negotiable (ippan) margin only (sections ② and ⑥).
- ⚠️ Morozoff (2217) requires six months of continuous holding — you need a fractional share (I’ve held one since October 2024).
- 🗓️ July-20-record-date stocks (DyDo etc.) have already passed this year; this article covers July-end names.
- 📢 Last eligible day is Wednesday, July 29 — negotiable-margin inventory dries up toward the end, so move early.

- Summary
① Long-term physical holding (what I own)
Among my 30-plus physical holdings, only one has July-end rights — NATTY SWANKY Holdings (7674), the operator of Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan. I bought 100 shares at the end of June 2024 and have simply held them since, collecting the perk every January-end and July-end with zero effort.
| Stock | Shares | Perk (100 shares) | Value | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| NATTY SWANKY HD 7674 |
100 | Ten 1,000-yen Dandadan e-tickets per round (twice a year: end of Jan & Jul) | 10,000/round (20,000/yr) |
No holding-period requirement. July-round tickets are issued around late October, valid through the following October |
Where to use them: at Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan restaurants nationwide — dine-in and takeout are covered; delivery is not. The tickets are electronic: show the QR code at checkout, 1,000 yen per ticket, and you can combine them with cash. If visiting a store is difficult, you can also ask the company about exchanging them for a gyoza home-delivery set. Full value from just 100 shares — 20,000 yen of food a year puts it near the top of restaurant perks. As always, share-price risk is yours and the program can change (check the official IR page).
② Cross-trade (tsunagi-uri) candidates
Upfront disclosure: I’m not crossing a single name this time (my plan = physical holding only). Below is the July-end shortlist for readers who want to cross-trade (short via margin + buy physical, harvesting only the perk). Watch two columns: “Holding period” (Morozoff needs a fractional share) and “Gyakuhibu warning” — with Hatena’s one-off anniversary gift in play, standardized-margin fee risk is higher than usual this July. Names that don’t start at 100 shares (Hatena 300, NPD 500) are flagged in the perk column.
| Stock | Rights | Perk | Value | Negotiable-margin cost | Holding period | Gyakuhibu warning |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Eternal Hospitality G (Torikizoku) 3193 |
Jan/Jul-end | Torikizoku meal vouchers: 100 shs=1,000 yen/300=3,000/500=5,000 | 1,000–5,000 | Lending fee only (per day held) | None for the base tier (1yr+ adds four 5% coupons) |
⚠️High: crowd-favorite izakaya perk + last rights before the Aug 1 split — ippan margin only |
| Maruchiyo Yamaokaya 3399 |
Jan/Jul-end | 2 ramen vouchers per round (each = any bowl 570–1,490 yen, incl. large size / set menus); 200+ shs can pick dry noodles or rice instead | ≈1,100–3,000 | Lending fee only (per day held) | None | ⚠️Popular restaurant name — same story, ippan margin only |
| 🆕Hatena 3930 |
Jul-end one-time |
10th-anniversary commemorative perk: 25,000-yen digital gift (choice of PayPay Money Lite / Amazon gift card / Rakuten points, etc.). ⚠️300 shares required | 25,000 | Lending fee only (on 300 shs; grows with days held) | None | 🔥Highest alert: a one-off gift means cross demand floods in; standardized margin could vaporize the 25,000 yen — ippan only; if inventory’s gone, walk away |
| Casa 7196 |
Jul-end (1×/yr) |
QUO cards: 100 shs=1,000 yen/500=2,000/1,000=3,000 | 1,000–3,000 | Lending fee only (per day held) | None | Small perk value — one bad fee flips it negative, so play it safe on ippan |
| Inaba Seisakusho 3421 |
Jul-end (Jan-end: 1,000+ shs only) |
100 shs = 1,000-yen original book card/300 shs = 3,000-yen catalog pick (regional specialties, book cards, etc.) | 1,000–3,000 | Lending fee only (per day held) | None | Book cards are near-cash and popular with crossers — again, skip standardized margin |
| Morozoff 2217 |
Jul-end (1×/yr) |
1,000 yen of company confectionery; 2,000 yen after 3 years. Ships late November | 1,000 | Lending fee only (per day held) | ⚠️6-month continuous (fractional share OK) |
Avoidable via ippan. My fractional share has been on the register since October 2024 — condition met |
| Nippon Parking Development 2353 |
Jan/Jul-end | 3× 30%-off parking vouchers + ski-lift / activity discounts + Nasu Highland Park admission etc. ⚠️500 shares required (low share price, small total outlay) | Depends on usage | Lending fee only (per day held) | None | Discount-voucher perks draw milder demand; practical for drivers and skiers |
🔥 Gyakuhibu — extra caution this July
Gyakuhibu (reverse daily fees) hit only standardized (seido) margin crosses: shorts pile up on the record date → stock runs out on loan → a per-day fee is charged, unknowable in advance and uncapped. On hot names it can be several times the perk’s value — an instant loss. This July features Hatena’s one-time anniversary gift plus crowd favorites like Torikizoku (last rights before its split), so standardized margin is riskier than usual. One rule: cross every name on this list with negotiable (ippan) margin — cost is a fixed lending fee — and if ippan inventory is gone, walk away rather than gambling on seido.
※ Perk details are public information as of July 2026 (kabuyutai.com, Matsui Securities, company IR pages). Programs change — confirm on official IR before ordering. Ippan lending fee = trade value × your broker’s annual rate × days borrowed ÷ 365 (a same-day cross typically runs tens to a few hundred yen). Inventory and rates change daily; your broker’s same-day display is the source of truth.
③ Holding-period / fractional-share conditions
Few July names carry holding-period strings; Morozoff is the main fractional-share case. Full rundown (sources: kabuyutai.com / company IR — verify before buying):
| Stock | Rights | Holding-period condition | Fractional / cross feasibility |
|---|---|---|---|
| NATTY SWANKY HD 7674 | Jan・Jul-end | None (100+ shares on each record date) | ○ One-shot cross OK (I hold physical) |
| Torikizoku (Eternal H) 3193 | Jan・Jul-end | None for base tier; 1yr+ (same shareholder number on 2025/7 & 2026/7 registers, 100+ shs) adds four 5% coupons | ○ One-shot cross OK (keep a fractional share if you want the loyalty bonus) |
| Maruchiyo Yamaokaya 3399 | Jan・Jul-end | None | ○ One-shot cross OK |
| Hatena 3930 | Jul-end (commem.) | None (single record date 2026/7/31, one-time) | ○ One-shot cross OK (300 shares) |
| Casa 7196 | Jul-end (1×/yr) | None | ○ One-shot cross OK |
| Inaba Seisakusho 3421 | Jul-end (Jan-end: 1,000+ shs) | None | ○ One-shot cross OK |
| Morozoff 2217 | Jul-end (1×/yr) | ⚠️6+ months continuous: same shareholder number on 2+ consecutive registers (Jan-end + Jul-end); 3yr+ doubles it to 2,000 yen | △ Cross works with a fractional share on the register (mine is ready); a spur-of-the-moment cross this year won’t qualify |
| Nippon Parking Dev. 2353 | Jan・Jul-end | None (from 500 shares, scales up) | ○ One-shot cross OK (500 shares) |
| Ateam HD 3662 | Jan・Jul-end | None (500+ shares → 10,000-yen QUO card per round) | ○ One-shot cross OK (500 shares, larger outlay) |
○ = obtainable with a one-shot cross/△ = needs a fractional share to keep your shareholder number. Nissou (1444), Jelly Beans G (3070), Enigmo (3665) and Brass (2424) also carry long-term strings but are omitted here. July-20-record names (DyDo GHD 2590 etc.) already passed this year — calendar them for mid-July next year.
④ Perk value by share count — quick reference
July’s tier structure is unusual: several names don’t start at 100 shares (Hatena 300; NPD & Ateam 500). Here’s which tier gives the best bang per 100 shares:
| Stock | Shares → perk value | Best-value tier |
|---|---|---|
| NATTY SWANKY HD 7674 |
Flat for 100+ shares = ten 1,000-yen tickets per round (20,000 yen/yr) | ★ 100 shares (flat 10 tickets — buying more adds nothing) |
| Torikizoku (Eternal H) 3193 |
100=1,000/300=3,000/500=5,000 yen (each twice a year) | All tiers linear (1,000 yen per 100 shares); start at 100 |
| Maruchiyo Yamaokaya 3399 |
100 shs = 2 vouchers per round (4/yr); 200+ adds vouchers or swaps to noodles/rice | ★ 100 shares (redeem the 1,490-yen bowl to maximize) |
| Hatena 3930 |
Single 300-share tier = 25,000-yen digital gift (commemorative, one-time) | 300 fixed (no 100-share tier — don’t cross only 100 by mistake) |
| Casa 7196 |
100=1,000/500=2,000/1,000=3,000 yen | ★ 100 shares (1,000 yen per 100 shs; dilutes above) |
| Inaba Seisakusho 3421 |
100 shs = 1,000-yen book card/300 shs = 3,000-yen catalog | 100 and 300 equal per share (≈1,000 yen per 100 shs); 300 adds specialty options |
| Morozoff 2217 |
100 shs = 1,000 yen (6mo–3yr)/3yr+ = 2,000 yen | ★ 100 shares (fractional + long registration can double it) |
| Nippon Parking Dev. 2353 |
From 500 shs = 3× 30%-off parking + leisure bundle; more shares, more vouchers | 500 shares (valuable only if you’ll use the vouchers) |
| Ateam HD 3662 |
Single 500-share tier = 10,000-yen QUO per round (20,000 yen/yr) | 500 fixed (bigger outlay; QUO value is rock-solid) |
Bottom line: most July names are “best at 100 shares or linear” — no Alpen-style “more is better” curve. The only tiers you must assemble are Hatena (300 required) and NPD / Ateam (500 required). Values are published figures from perk guides / official IR — the official page wins.
⑤ My picks
Picks for readers who want to cross in July — I’m sitting this one out and just holding:
- 🥇 NATTY SWANKY (7674): flat 10 tickets ×2/yr from 100 shares, no holding condition, top-class volume among restaurant perks — I hold it physically long-term (results in section ⑧). Gyoza fans: buy and hold; one-timers can single-cross it too.
- 🆕 Hatena (3930): one-time 25,000-yen 10th-anniversary digital gift (PayPay / Amazon gift card, etc.), no holding condition, distributed in October — the story of the month. Three cautions: ①300 shares required; ②one-time only; ③highest gyakuhibu alert — ippan margin only; if inventory’s gone, let it go.
- 👍🏻 Torikizoku (3193): yakitori vouchers usable nationwide; base tier works with a one-shot cross. Want the 1-year +5% coupons? Park a fractional share. Standardized margin is high-risk here — ippan only; recheck IR after the Aug 1 split.
- 👍🏻 Yamaokaya (3399): two free ramen bowls, large sizes and sets included — redeem the priciest bowl; no holding condition, easy 100-share entry.
- ⚠️ Morozoff (2217): 6-month condition — a spur-of-the-moment cross won’t qualify this year. If your fractional share is already registered (like mine), this July’s cross qualifies; aiming for next year? Buy 1 share now to lock your shareholder number.
⑥ Cross-trading basics & gyakuhibu defense
Tsunagi-uri = buying physical shares and shorting the same amount on margin simultaneously, canceling out price moves and keeping only the perk right; settle by “genwatashi” (delivering your physical shares) after the ex-date, and your cost is just commissions + the lending fee.
- Negotiable (ippan) vs standardized (seido) margin: ippan cost is fixed (lending fee). Seido is cheaper but carries gyakuhibu risk — unknowable, uncapped, and on hot record dates it can turn the perk negative. This July’s headline names (Hatena, Torikizoku) are precisely the dangerous kind — ippan only.
- Grab inventory early: ippan short inventory is finite; the month’s star (Hatena) tends to sell out before the last eligible day. Multiple broker accounts help. No ippan inventory = walk away; don’t switch to seido and gamble.
- Holding-period names need a fractional share: in July that’s Morozoff — a one-shot cross won’t qualify; keep 1 share to preserve your shareholder number (next section).
You’ll need a brokerage that offers negotiable-margin short selling. SBI Securities is the workhorse for ippan crosses (deep inventory):
⑦ Keep your shareholder number with a fractional share
July’s fractional-share case is Morozoff (2217): eligibility is “100+ shares on July 31 and 6+ months continuous holding (same shareholder number on 2+ consecutive Jan-end/Jul-end registers)”. The playbook is the same as Kagome’s:
- Step 1: buy 1 fractional share (S-kabu / kabu-mini services) and never sell — your shareholder number stays fixed and appears on every register.
- Step 2: cross a full 100-share unit on the July record date — both conditions (“consecutive registration” + “100+ shares on the date”) are met at once.
- My status: bought the Morozoff fractional in October 2024, on the register continuously since January 2025 — condition met. But per my do-nothing plan, I’m skipping this year too: the fractional stays put, so I can harvest any future year. Starting now? This year is out; next July is your earliest shot.
- The same trick maintains eligibility for Torikizoku’s 1-year loyalty bonus (+5% coupons).
⑧ My past July results
My only past July name is NATTY SWANKY (the other candidates are new research this year). Bought 100 physical shares at the end of June 2024 and held — four rounds collected, 40,000 yen total:
| Record date | Stock | Perk | Used for | Value |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2024/07-end | NATTY SWANKY 7674 | Ten 1,000-yen Dandadan e-tickets | Myself (in store) | 10,000 |
| 2025/01-end | NATTY SWANKY 7674 | Ten 1,000-yen Dandadan e-tickets | Myself (in store) | 10,000 |
| 2025/07-end | NATTY SWANKY 7674 | Ten 1,000-yen Dandadan e-tickets | Myself (in store) | 10,000 |
| 2026/01-end | NATTY SWANKY 7674 | Ten 1,000-yen Dandadan e-tickets | Myself (in store) | 10,000 |
※ Amounts are my own records (4 rounds, 40,000 yen total). Round five arrives automatically after this July — zero-effort collecting is the whole charm of holding physical.
❓ FAQ
Q. When is the last day to buy for July-end rights?
A. With the record date on Friday, July 31, T+2 puts the last eligible day at Wednesday, July 29, 2026 — hold through that close; July 30 is the ex-rights day. July-20-record names (DyDo etc.) already passed this year.
Q. Where do NATTY SWANKY’s vouchers work?
A. At Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan restaurants nationwide: dine-in and takeout yes, delivery no. Show the QR code, combine with cash freely; a gyoza home-delivery swap can be arranged if visiting is hard. No holding condition — 100 shares on each record date is all it takes.
Q. What’s the biggest risk in July cross trading?
A. Standardized-margin gyakuhibu. Hot names get hit with steep, uncapped fees on the record date — sometimes several times the perk’s value. Hatena and Torikizoku are the highest-risk headliners this July. Defense: ippan margin only, secure inventory early, and walk away if it’s gone.
Summary
July is small but select. My own answer this month is simple: do nothing — no inventory race, no crossing, just collect ten Dandadan tickets from my long-held NATTY SWANKY shares (100 shares, 20,000 yen of food a year, no strings, usable at Dandadan restaurants nationwide). For those who want to play: Hatena’s one-time 25,000-yen anniversary gift is the centerpiece (300 shares, inventory race, highest gyakuhibu alert); Torikizoku, Yamaokaya, Casa and Inaba are clean one-shot crosses with no strings; Morozoff needs a fractional share registered for six months (mine’s ready but I’m skipping — newcomers, set up for next year); mind the 500-share lines at NPD and Ateam. Risk management in one line: ippan margin only — never bet against gyakuhibu on seido. Last eligible day: Wednesday, July 29 — move early if you’re in.
