Sushiro Teams Up With C.C. Lemon for a Summer Parfait
Akindo Sushiro Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Suita City, Osaka) has announced a collaboration between its in-house dessert brand “SUSHIRO Cafe” and C.C. Lemon, the long-selling carbonated drink sold by Suntory Beverage & Food Limited. The resulting summer dessert, the Oishii Lemon no Amazuppa Parfait (Delicious Sweet-and-Sour Lemon Parfait), goes on sale at Sushiro restaurants nationwide in Japan from Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
“SUSHIRO Cafe” operates under the concept of “delicious, exciting, thrilling,” with desserts developed by in-house pastry chefs. Only a carefully selected few make it to the menu out of more than 200 prototypes created each year. For this launch, the chefs reimagined the refreshingly sweet-and-sour taste of C.C. Lemon — a drink loved across generations — as a Sushiro-style parfait designed to bring some relief from the intense summer heat.
What Goes Into the Sweet-and-Sour Lemon Parfait
The parfait layers several lemon components, each with a different texture:
- Lemon milk-style marble ice cream: a creamy base carrying a bright lemon tang
- Lemon sauce with nata de coco: chewy pieces add a playful bite
- Lemon granita: crunchy shaved ice accented with ramune soda flavor
- Lemon jelly: delivers fresh lemon aroma and acidity directly
- Cut lemon: squeeze as much as you like to dial in your own level of tartness
Because the cut lemon on top is squeezed by the customer, everyone can customize the sourness to taste while releasing more of that fresh lemon fragrance. Every spoonful offers a different combination of lemon flavor and texture.

Also Launching August 5: The Nomu Milk Tea-ppe Frappe
Arriving the same day is Nomu Milk Tea-ppe, a chilled frappe you stir together yourself. It pairs a black tea sherbet made from carefully selected Ceylon tea leaves with milk, creating a drink built for hot weather.
The tea-forward sherbet, milk, and condensed milk balance each other for a refreshing finish. A signature feature of SUSHIRO Cafe frappes is that customers stir them to completion at the table, enjoying them at their freshest — and the slightly uneven swirls that come from mixing it yourself are part of the fun.

About C.C. Lemon
Sold by Suntory Beverage & Food Limited, C.C. Lemon debuted in 1994 as a healthy carbonated drink packed with vitamin C, and has remained a favorite across a wide range of age groups ever since.
In March 2026 the brand was renewed as a food with nutrient function claims, keeping its founding promise of delivering plenty of vitamin C in a great-tasting form. The formula now contains enough vitamin C to meet the relevant standards, retains its satisfying sweetness, and offers an expanded lemon character with a crisp aftertaste made for refreshing, gulp-it-down drinking.
About SUSHIRO Cafe and Its Frappe Line
Sushiro serves carefully crafted desserts under the concept “delicious, exciting, thrilling.” Alongside regular menu items, roughly 50 new desserts appear each year so guests find something new on every visit. Sushiro’s product development division includes dedicated pastry chefs who gather the latest trends and refine ideas through repeated trials.
The frappe line launched in March 2026, born from the idea that guests should add a finishing touch themselves and enjoy seasonal flavors in a more hands-on way. Dessert specialists develop each frappe with careful attention to overall balance, and stirring it yourself is what makes the just-made taste possible.
Summary
For a summer of relentless heat, Sushiro is lining up cooling desserts worth a detour. Both items run from August 5 through August 30, 2026, with 400,000 parfaits and 270,000 frappes planned — and sales end as soon as they run out. If either one catches your eye, going early is the safer bet. Availability and pricing differ by location, so check the Sushiro app or official website for the latest details before you head out.
