MOS BURGER’s Original “Mae-Nebuta” Float Returns for a Second Year

MOS Food Services, Inc. (President: Eisuke Nakamura; Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo), the operator of MOS BURGER, will once again send its original “mae-nebuta” float to the Aomori Nebuta Festival (organized by the Aomori Nebuta Festival Executive Committee in Aomori City, Aomori Prefecture) in the summer of 2026.

Held in Aomori City from August 2 to 7 every year, the Aomori Nebuta Festival is designated an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan and draws roughly 2.7 million visitors, making it one of the country’s most iconic fire festivals. As part of their community contribution activities, MOS BURGER stores in the Tohoku region are again sponsoring the Aomori Citizens’ Nebuta Executive Committee this year.

For this second year of participation, the original “mae-nebuta” float is once more modeled on two of the chain’s signature menu items: the MOS Burger and “Oni-Pote” (onion rings and fries). Seeing these familiar favorites reimagined as glowing festival floats is a highlight fans will not want to miss.

“Tohoku Rikkon! Summer Thank-You Festival” at 79 Stores

To mark the float’s appearance and help energize the many summer festivals held across the Tohoku region, all 79 MOS BURGER stores in Tohoku are running the “Tohoku Rikkon! Summer Thank-You Festival” campaign.

Customers receive one “Thanks Ticket” for every 800 yen (tax included) spent, and collected tickets can be exchanged for popular menu items.

Sponsoring a fire festival that attracts around 2.7 million visitors is more than a promotional exercise; it is support for passing regional culture on to the next generation. With energy to match the heat of the Aomori Nebuta Festival, MOS BURGER stores across Tohoku are cheering on their communities.

If you are traveling through Tohoku or returning to your hometown this summer, consider stopping by a nearby MOS BURGER to collect Thanks Tickets after soaking up the festival atmosphere. Since redemption runs through Tuesday, September 8, there is plenty of time to use them even after festival season ends.
