Key Takeaways: Tokyo Dome City lights up with more than one million white bulbs from November 19, 2026 to February 28, 2027, and entry is free. Tokyo Dome City is turning into a snow globe this winter. On October 8, 2026, Tokyo Dome Corporation announced TOKYO SNOW DOME CITY, a free illumination that runs from November 19, 2026 to February 28, 2027. Over one million white lights will cover the whole complex, and Sanrio’s Cinnamoroll is the main character this year.

If you want an evening out that costs nothing to get in, this one is worth putting on the calendar. The key thing to plan around: the Cinnamoroll extras (the quiz rally and the indoor Cinnamoroll Park) only run until January 17, 2027, while the lights stay on until the end of February.

What is new this year

The organizer says the illumination is bigger than last year. Lights on the plantings and trees have been stepped up, and new strings have been added to the trees in front of Gates 21 and 22 of Tokyo Dome and to LaQua Bridge, so the whole area feels connected rather than lit in patches.

The result is a white illumination of more than one million bulbs, which Tokyo Dome describes as one of the largest in Tokyo. White was picked on purpose: it is meant to look like snow.

The other change is the special collaboration with Sanrio. Cinnamoroll is the main character, and the event’s theme song is sung by Cinnamoroll (more on that in the song section below).

Three spots you should not miss

The whole complex is lit up, but three installations are the anchors. They are also where the quiz rally spots are.

A large LED tree about 15 m tall stands on the lawn. Every 15 minutes it runs a light show synced with a screen and music, so you will not wait long if you just missed one. A collaboration show linked to the Cinnamoroll theme song is also planned. Tokyo Dome City will post the show schedule on its official site as details are decided.

The walkway in the Attractions area becomes an arch of lights built for photos. Its decorations are made together with the Cinnamoroll Park running at Gallery AaMo. Good news if you cannot make it before mid-January: the tunnel stays up for the whole illumination period, until February 28, 2027.

LUMINOUS SNOW DOME

A giant snow dome 3.9 m tall and 8 m across, finished with clear sparkle and prisms. The interactive part from last year is back: ring the bell and the lights respond. It was popular last season, so expect a short line at busy times.

Cinnamoroll quiz rally on the Omoide Badge app

Sanrio’s official app Omoide Badge hosts a Cinnamon Friends quiz rally. Here is how it works:

  1. Install Omoide Badge on your phone.
  2. Visit the quiz spots near LUMINOUS SNOW DOME, SPARKLE TUNNEL with Cinnamoroll and WONDER SNOW TREE, plus the spots inside Fuwafuwander Cinnamoroll Park.
  3. Answer the quiz in the app to collect a Cinnamon Friends digital badge.
  4. Collect every badge to receive one tabletop standee of the Cinnamon Friends.
Rally period: Fri, November 20, 2026 to Sun, January 17, 2027 (the same dates as Cinnamoroll Park)
Prize: 6 designs, given out at random. Limited quantity and ends when stock runs out. The actual item may look different from the press photos.

Some quiz spots are inside Cinnamoroll Park. The announcement does not say whether you need a park ticket to reach them, so check the rally details in the app, which will be updated over time.

Cinnamoroll Park at Gallery AaMo

Running at the same time indoors is Fuwafuwander Cinnamoroll Park (ふわふわんだーシナモロールパーク), a hands-on event at Gallery AaMo inside Tokyo Dome City.

Theme song and teaser video

The theme song is Kimi Dake no Mahou (キミだけの魔法), sung by Cinnamoroll and written and composed by Takaya Kawasaki. A teaser video for the illumination was released on October 8, 2026, and the song’s music video is already out.

Tips for planning your visit

  • Want everything? Go by January 17. The quiz rally and Cinnamoroll Park both end on January 17, 2027. After that, the lights and the SPARKLE TUNNEL stay on until February 28.
  • No need to rush for the tree show. It repeats every 15 minutes, so you can walk the other spots first and come back.
  • Check the hours on the day. The standard 17:00–24:00 window can change with sunset and events.
  • Keep your phone charged. Night photos and the quiz app drain the battery fast. If you have a docomo d account, a d VALUE PASS gives free ChargeSPOT power bank rentals.
  • The prize goes fast. Standees are limited and handed out while stock lasts, so earlier in the rally period is safer.
