What SAKE PARK is

SAKE PARK started at MIYASHITA PARK in spring 2023 with the aim of sharing Japanese sake culture with the world from Shibuya. Later editions moved around Tokyo, including Nihonbashi and Roppongi. This time the festival returns to its original venue, and it is the seventh one so far. The official name is SAKE PARK 7.

The theme for this autumn is Gokoku Hojo: Music For SAKE, a nod to the harvest season. The idea is to give thanks for the year’s crops through sake and music made for sake. The SAKE PARK executive committee organises it, with Mitsui Fudosan as co-host. The announcement came on 4 September 2026 in a press release from Heiwa Shuzo, the brewery behind the Kid label.

How the tickets and masu cup work

Getting in costs nothing, and you are welcome to wander around and soak up the atmosphere. To drink, you need two things:

  • SAKE tickets, which work in ¥300 units. Some drinks and dishes are just one ticket. Limited-edition sake and special menu items take several.
  • The original masu cup, made for this event and used for every tasting at the venue.

The same tickets also buy food, so you do not need a separate food ticket.

On the food side, expect yakitori, slow-simmered dishes, cheese, spicy Asian food and sweets. Most of it is easy to eat standing up between tastings.

Early-bird sets on Makuake

Advance tickets are sold through the crowdfunding site Makuake, at a discount compared with buying on the day. Every set includes tickets plus the masu cup, so you do not need to buy the cup separately. Sales run from 10:00 on 4 September to 22:00 on 13 November 2026. The super early-bird tier has very few tickets, so it may sell out first.

The brewers themselves are often behind the counter, so ask what they recommend and how they like to drink it. It is the easiest way to find a bottle you would never pick off a shop shelf.

Live music line-up

Live sets and DJ performances are part of the SAKE PARK experience. This year the line-up includes musicians who weave Japanese folk songs and regional traditions into their own sound, plus a few who are simply big sake fans.

Tips before you go

  • Not sure you will drink much? Entry is free, so you can look around first and decide later.
  • 30 or under? The Under30 set is the smallest pack and is only for that age group.
  • Going as a couple or a group? The Pair and Group sets come with two or four masu cups, so nobody has to buy one separately.
  • Watch the redemption cut-off. Tickets can only be exchanged until 30 minutes before closing, so leftover tickets at closing time are wasted.
  • Bring layers. The venue is an open-air rooftop in mid-November, and the event runs in rain.
Hours, the brewery list and set prices are taken from the official announcement. Line-ups and timetables can change, so check the Makuake project page and the official press release before heading out.
