Pan no Fes (パンのフェス), one of Japan’s biggest bread festivals, is coming back to AEON Mall Makuhari Shintoshin in Chiba for three days, from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25, 2026. It’s held outdoors in Toyosuna Park next to the mall, and entry is free — you only pay for the bread you buy.
This year’s edition brings together 15 bakery booths from Tochigi all the way to Nagasaki, 2 kitchen cars, and 9 autumn-themed breads made just for this event. Below you’ll find the key details, the full shop list, and a few tips for getting the bread you want before it runs out.

What Pan no Fes is
Pan no Fes started in 2016 at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse and has since drawn more than 1.78 million visitors. The idea is simple: bakeries from across Japan gather in one place, so you can try breads you’d normally have to travel for.
The Makuhari edition is fairly new. It ran here for the first time last autumn, and many shops sold out. This year it returns to the same park, so you can pair a bread run with a day of shopping at the mall.

The 9 limited-edition autumn breads
This year’s theme for the event-only breads is colorful autumn bread that looks as good as it tastes. Expect chestnut, sweet potato and purple sweet potato to come up again and again. According to the organizers, these are breads you can only get at this venue.

Tips for your visit
- Arrive early if there’s a bread you really want. Stock at each shop is limited, and each booth closes once it sells out. Many items sold out at last year’s Makuhari edition.
- Remember that Sunday ends early. On October 25, the festival closes at 16:00, one hour earlier than the other days.
- Start with the limited breads. The 9 autumn breads are only made for this event, so pick those up first and fill in with regular items after.
- Check the official X and Instagram before you head out. The event can change or be cancelled without notice, and the official X account and Instagram are the quickest places to see updates.
- Confirm payment options. The announcement doesn’t say whether cashless payment works at every booth, so bring some cash as a backup or check the official page.
