Uniforms, traffic safety and e-bikes for kids

Uniform try-on (free). Children of elementary school age and younger can put on work uniforms and take photos. Uniforms are provided by JAL, ANA, Tokyo Monorail, JAF Tokyo Branch and Art Moving Center. To take part, you need to apply online for the Kids Service Car / JAF Uniform Experience (キッズサービスカーに乗ろう!/JAF制服着用体験). Find the application on the Haneda Airport Garden official site.

JAF Kids Service Car traffic safety class (free). Children climb aboard JAF’s original Kids Service Car and learn road rules along the way. They can also get a free Child Safety License (子ども安全免許証) with their own photo on it.

Kids e-bike ride (paid). Children aged 5–12 who can already ride a bicycle can try the Kids e-Bike Presented by Hinoya, a children’s electric bike. Professional bike racer Yuta Okaya (岡谷雄太) teaches the basics: throttle, brakes, starting and stopping. Staff stay alongside first-timers. A 10-minute ride is ¥1,500 and gear rental is ¥500 (tax included).

Vehicle stamp rally (free). Collect all three stamps placed around the building to get a vehicle card (のりものカード). Pick up the rally sheet at Bellesalle Haneda Airport Hall AB on 1F. It is for elementary school age and younger and ends when sheets and prizes run out, so start early in the day.

Getting there and parking

The venue is a 1-minute walk from Haneda Airport Terminal 3 Station, served by both the Keikyu Line and the Tokyo Monorail. The organizer expects heavy traffic on nearby roads and in the car park and asks visitors to come by public transport.

If you must drive, check rates and hours on the official car park page before you set off. The complex also has a bus terminal for coach routes.

Tips for a smooth, low-cost visit

  • Book the mini Shinkansen first. It is the only activity that needs a reservation through a ticketing site.
  • Apply for the uniform try-on in advance. It is free, but the online application comes first.
  • Go on Saturday if fire engines matter. The airport chemical fire engine is scheduled for October 31 only.
  • Spend the voucher. The ¥500 voucher from the mini Shinkansen ride works for shopping and dining, so use it toward lunch.
  • Make a day of it. The complex also has the Izumi Tenku no Yu natural hot spring, plus two hotels, Villa Fontaine Premier and Villa Fontaine Grand, if you are flying out the next morning.
  • Keep phones charged. A long day of photos drains batteries. A free power bank rental pass like d VALUE PASS for ChargeSPOT can help.
