The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) Yokosuka District Headquarters is holding Autumn Festa 2026 on Saturday, October 10. This year the Yokosuka Band, the JMSDF band based in the city, is sharing its stage with concert bands from two local high schools. Band stage times
The highlight is a joint stage: the Yokosuka Band (横須賀音楽隊) plays alongside high school students from the city. Each school gets its own 30-minute slot, one late in the morning and one in the afternoon.

The first slot features the concert band of Yokosuka Municipal Yokosuka Sogo High School (横須賀市立横須賀総合高等学校). The second features Miura Gakuen High School (三浦学苑高等学校), run by the Miura Gakuen school corporation. The program is described as well-known staples of the concert band repertoire, but no song titles have been published.
The collaboration is part of Yokosuka City’s push to present itself as a music city (音楽の街よこすか) and to create more places for live music.
Same day: Autumn Yokosuka Curry Fes at Verny Park
On October 10, Verny Park also hosts Autumn Yokosuka Curry Fes 2026 (秋のよこすかカレーFes.2026) from 10:00 to 16:00. Curry is the dish Yokosuka is best known for, so if you are already in town for the band stage, it is an easy way to make a day of it.
