What’s inside the 2027 Lucky Bag
This year the bag itself is a drawstring tote you can cinch at the top and wear in different shapes. According to launch coverage, it comes in a unisex grey and fits A4 documents and a laptop.

Inside the tote:
- Lucky Bag stainless steel bottleA 2027 Lucky Bag–only design.
- 3 goodsPicked at random from Lucky Bag–only items and past merchandise.
- 2 coffees (100 g each, medium grind)Pike Place® Roast and Light Note Blend®.
- 1 coffee bean ticketExchange in store for one coffee bean product up to ¥2,000 (tax included).
- 7 drink tickets + 6 food trial ticketsLimits and expiry dates are in the next section.
- Super Lucky New Year Surprise! (random, 1,000 units)Some bags also contain a set of a gold special-edition mug (355 ml) and a Bearista bear. Not every bag has one.

Is it worth it? The ticket math
The only parts with a clear cash value are the three kinds of tickets. Here are the official limits:
| Drink tickets ×7 | One drink per ticket, up to ¥700 dine-in or ¥687 to go; you pay any difference. Valid Jan 1 – Jun 27, 2027 |
|---|---|
| Food trial tickets ×6 | ¥100 off one food item (¥98 to go). Valid Jan 1 – Jun 27, 2027 |
| Coffee bean ticket ×1 | One coffee bean product up to ¥2,000 (tax included); you pay any difference. STARBUCKS RESERVE® beans, tea and some other items are excluded. Valid Jan 4 – Jul 2, 2027 |
If you use every ticket up to the dine-in limit:
| Drink tickets ¥700 × 7 | ¥4,900 |
| Coffee bean ticket | ¥2,000 |
| Food trial tickets ¥100 × 6 | ¥600 |
| Ticket limits, total | ¥7,500 |
At the to-go limits (¥687 and ¥98) it comes to ¥7,397. So the tickets alone cover about 80% of the price, and the remaining ¥2,000 or so gets you the tote, the bottle, 3 goods and 200 g of coffee. Pay with a Starbucks Card and you also get 158.3 Stars (130 Stars buy a ¥500 eTicket).
For comparison, last year’s “Lucky Bag 2026” was ¥8,800, with the same 7 drink tickets, 6 food trial tickets and a bean ticket worth up to ¥2,000. This year the price is ¥700 higher, the coffee is two 100 g packs, and the 1,000-unit surprise changed from a stainless tumbler to the gold mug and Bearista.

How to enter, step by step
- Register for My Starbucks: Existing members don’t need to register again. If you only have a temporary app account (アプリ仮会員), upgrade it to a full My Starbucks membership in the app first.
- Enter on the official page from 10:00 on November 4: Agree to the entry rules and submit the form. One entry per person, and you can’t cancel it. The site may be hard to reach close to the deadline.
- Check that it says “エントリー済み” (entered): Go to My Starbucks [My Page] › Online Store › 抽選販売申込履歴 (lottery history). If it shows “エントリー済み”, you’re in, even without a confirmation email. It can take a while to appear.
- Wait for the results on November 25: Between about 11:00 and 17:00, winners get a “当選のご案内” email. If you use the official app, it also arrives in the app’s Inbox (Message), and the lottery history shows the result.
- Pay by 23:59 on December 2: Follow the email to the purchase page on the online store and pick a delivery day between January 1 and 7.
If you win: payment and delivery
| Deadline | Wed, Dec 2, 2026, 23:59. After that, your win is void |
|---|---|
| Payment | Credit card, carrier billing (when buying on a smartphone), or a Starbucks Card registered to My Starbucks |
| Not accepted | Birthday Reward eTicket |
| Delivery | To your address on the day you chose, between Jan 1 and Jan 7, 2027 |
| After purchase | Address and delivery day can’t be changed; no redelivery if returned after a long absence; no returns or exchanges for personal reasons |
Better odds and a little money back
① Gold members get two chances
If you are a Gold member of Starbucks® Rewards at the entry deadline (23:59 on November 15), your single entry counts as two in the draw. You can still win only one bag. Gold status comes from collecting 250 Stars within a year, and it’s checked at the deadline.
② Pay with a registered Starbucks Card for 158.3 Stars
Pay with a Starbucks Card registered to My Starbucks and you earn 158.3 Stars, added about two weeks after the bag ships. 130 Stars can be exchanged for an eTicket worth up to ¥500 (to-go price) on a drink or food item. Paying directly by credit card earns no Stars.
③ Top up that card with JCB for 20x points
On JCB’s J-POINT Partner program, online top-ups and auto top-ups of a Starbucks Card earn 20x points on every card type from January 13, 2026 to January 12, 2027 (the offer can end without notice). You need to sign up for the free “ポイントアップ登録” first. In-store top-ups and Digital Starbucks Card Gifts don’t count, and the top-up itself earns no Stars.
Top up ¥9,500 with JCB, then pay for the bag with that Starbucks Card, and you get both J-POINT and Stars. For choosing a JCB card, see our JCB card guide.
If you lose, and other things to know
- If you lose: Bags not paid for by the deadline go to a second draw (繰り上げ抽選). Starbucks says there will be no further sale.
- No transfers: Your win can’t be passed to anyone else. If resale or transfer is found, the win is cancelled.
- No result enquiries: Customer service won’t confirm individual results; check your lottery history instead.
- Use a recommended browser: Entries from non-recommended environments may fail even if you see “受付完了”. Be careful with older phones and browsers.
- Contact: The entry form doesn’t take questions. For product or delivery issues, call the online store customer center at 0120-123-680 (10:00–18:00, every day; in Japanese).
