Yumean, the Japanese restaurant chain operated by Skylark Restaurants Co., Ltd. (part of the Skylark Group), will run a limited-time “Bottle Keep Campaign” for one month starting Sunday, November 1, 2026. Yumean offers a bottle keep service, where you buy a bottle and the restaurant holds it for your future visits. The press release describes it as a “hidden-gem money-saving service.” In November, that service gets even better: two popular shochu bottles are each discounted by ¥220 (tax included) from their regular price.

Campaign Overview
- Period: Sunday, November 1 – Monday, November 30, 2026
- Locations: All Yumean restaurants
- Offer: ¥220 off (tax included) each of the two bottle-keep shochu bottles (Kuro Kirishima and Iichiko)
- Keep period: 6 months
- Water, hot water and ice: Free, as many times as you like (no extra charge)

The Two Shochu Bottles and Their Prices
The discount applies to two bottles: Kuro Kirishima, an imo (sweet potato) shochu, and Iichiko, a mugi (barley) shochu. Both normally cost ¥1,869 including tax and drop to ¥1,649 including tax during the campaign. Before tax, that is a reduction from ¥1,699 to ¥1,499, or ¥200.
Kuro Kirishima Bottle [900ml]
- Regular price: ¥1,699 (¥1,869 incl. tax)
- Campaign price: ¥1,499 (¥1,649 incl. tax)
An authentic imo shochu made with black koji, popular for its smooth, rich sweetness and crisp finish. At 900ml, it is the larger of the two bottles.
Iichiko Bottle [720ml]
- Regular price: ¥1,699 (¥1,869 incl. tax)
- Campaign price: ¥1,499 (¥1,649 incl. tax)
A cut-above Iichiko known for its polished, refined flavor. It is a mugi shochu from Oita Prefecture. It comes in a 720ml bottle at the same price as Kuro Kirishima. Choose Kuro Kirishima if you want the character of sweet potato shochu, or Iichiko if you prefer barley shochu.

6-Month Keep Period, Free Water, Hot Water and Ice
Bottles kept at Yumean are held for 6 months. Water, hot water and ice are also free as many times as you like, with no extra charge. That means you can enjoy shochu the classic ways, whether mizuwari (with water), oyuwari (with hot water) or on the rocks, depending on your mood that day.
If you keep a bottle in November, its 6-month keep period covers both the year-end bonenkai party season and the New Year shinnenkai season. Since you can work through a bottle over several visits, it is a handy service for anyone who regularly drops by their local Yumean.

Snacks to Pair with Your Bottle
Yumean also has a wide range of otsumami (drinking snacks) to enjoy alongside your kept bottle. Here are examples from the lineup featured in the press release:
- Tofu and Pork Jjigae (half size): ¥599 (¥659 incl. tax)
- Premium Shrimp Tempura Platter (1 serving): ¥599 (¥659 incl. tax)
- Simmered Domestic Offal with Tofu: ¥499 (¥549 incl. tax)
- Fried Squid Tentacles (with mayonnaise): ¥469 (¥516 incl. tax)
- Tsukimi Tsukune Skewers (2 skewers): ¥399 (¥439 incl. tax)
- Homemade Oboro Tofu (with walnut sauce): ¥349 (¥384 incl. tax)
From a warming jjigae to fried dishes, skewers and tofu, there is plenty that pairs well with shochu. For example, a Kuro Kirishima bottle (¥1,649 incl. tax) with Simmered Domestic Offal with Tofu (¥549 incl. tax) and Tsukimi Tsukune Skewers (¥439 incl. tax) comes to ¥2,637 including tax.
On top of that, Yumean lets you finish the night with authentic soba. Being able to round off your drinks with a proper meal is a draw unique to Yumean as a Japanese restaurant.
From Solo Drinking to Group Parties
The press release promotes the service as usable “for a wide range of occasions, from drinking solo to banquets.” On days when you want a quick drink alone, you can pour a little at a time from your bottle. At larger gatherings, you can share the bottle and a spread of snacks. It is easy to use regardless of group size.
Things to Note Before You Go
- The campaign period is tentative, and sales may end without prior notice.
- Orders placed after 10 p.m. are subject to a 10% late-night surcharge.
- Alcohol will not be sold to anyone under 20 or to customers driving a car or riding a bicycle.
