MOS Food Services Co., Ltd., operator of the MOS Burger chain, will launch the limited-time “Avocado Tacos Burger” at MOS Burger locations nationwide (excluding some stores) from Wednesday, July 15 to early September 2026. At the same time, the popular “MOS Tacos Burger” and “Spicy MOS Tacos Burger” — which together sold three million units last year — will also return. It’s a refreshing lineup designed to blow away summer sluggishness.
A “Uniquely MOS” Twist Riding the Tacos Boom
In recent years, tacos have drawn growing attention for their one-handed convenience, colorful ingredients, and high degree of customization, spawning specialty shops and event stalls. Against this rising market backdrop, last year’s “MOS Tacos Burger” won broad acclaim with a uniquely MOS twist — adding miso to the tacos sauce — delivering a refreshing flavor with a rich, deep undertone. Together with the “Spicy MOS Tacos Burger,” the two products surpassed three million units in cumulative sales.
New: Avocado Tacos Burger (630 yen)
The new arrival features avocado, a natural match for tacos. A cheddar-based cheese slice and half-calorie mayonnaise are layered over the patty, topped with sliced onion for textural accent, followed by tomato and avocado, and finished with tacos sauce. The avocado adds a mellow, creamy flavor.
Served with a wedge of lemon, you can squeeze it to taste for a bright, “refreshing” flavor shift that lifts you out of summer fatigue. A “Double Avocado Tacos Burger” with an extra patty is also available.
Returning Favorites, Now Upgraded
The two well-received products from last year have been brushed up for even greater deliciousness. This update switches the cheese slice to a cheddar-cheese base, enhancing the cheese’s characteristic richness and depth while improving the overall balance between the tacos sauce’s acidity and the fillings.
- MOS Tacos Burger (570 yen): A cheddar-based cheese slice, half-calorie mayonnaise, and tomato layered over the patty with plenty of lettuce and tacos sauce. The sauce uses ample tomato for a refreshing profile, chili powder and cumin for aroma, and a hidden touch of miso for sweetness and depth. With no strong hot spices, it’s enjoyable even for those who dislike heat. A “Double MOS Tacos Burger” is also available.
- Spicy MOS Tacos Burger (620 yen): The MOS Tacos Burger with added jalapeño for a stimulating, zesty kick. A “Double Spicy MOS Tacos Burger” is also offered.
