Matsuya Foods Unveils an Original Brand Song for Its 60th Anniversary
Matsuya Foods Holdings Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Musashino, Tokyo; President and Representative Director Kazutoshi Kawarabuki) has released an original brand song titled “A Gentle Place That Awaits You” (Anata wo Matsu Yasashii Basho) to commemorate its 60th anniversary. From 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the song began playing in Matsuya stores nationwide (excluding some locations).
The track was written specifically for Matsuya by ORCALAND, a four-piece rock band based in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo. Built around the theme of “being there for people who work hard every day,” this unique collaboration was born when Matsuya’s wish to be a “gentle place” that fills both the stomachs and hearts of its customers resonated with ORCALAND’s energetic and warm musical style.
Release and Distribution Schedule
In addition to the in-store preview, the song will be rolled out across various platforms. The main schedule is as follows:
- 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026: Preview broadcast of the song in Matsuya stores nationwide. At the same time, a special movie using behind-the-scenes footage from the music video shoot is released on the official YouTube channel and the Matsuya Foods website
- Wednesday, June 17, 2026: The song goes live on streaming sites and subscription services
- 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2026: The full music video is scheduled to premiere on the official YouTube channel and the Matsuya Foods website
- Wednesday, July 8, 2026: The mini album “MAGIC×MAGIC,” which includes the song, is released

The newly written “A Gentle Place That Awaits You” is a tie-up song that quietly accompanies people who give their all every day, expressing the warmth of Matsuya in an emotional way. Listeners can enjoy ORCALAND’s catchy yet powerful band sound.
The band said they aimed to create “a song you can listen to casually, almost like background music, yet one that suddenly comes to mind and gives you a push when you need it.” They also shared their affection for the chain: “Matsuya has been part of my life since my student days. While friends ate kimchi-pork bowls or curry beef, I always ordered the gyumeshi (beef bowl)—a taste of youth I never get tired of.” The music video even features a scene of the members eating gyumeshi, where they rediscovered its simple, honest deliciousness.
