Earn and Use V Point at KFC Stores Across Japan
Kentucky Fried Chicken Japan (hereafter “Japan KFC”) began offering V Point, a common loyalty point program, at Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) stores nationwide on Thursday, October 1, 2026. V Point is operated by V Point Marketing Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Mitsui Card Co., Ltd. Introduced to make shopping even more convenient for customers, the service lets you earn and use V Point when paying at KFC.

To celebrate the launch, a limited-time campaign running until Saturday, October 31 also lets customers earn double the usual V Point.
Overview of V Point at KFC
- Start date: In-store use begins Thursday, October 1, 2026
- Participating stores: KFC stores nationwide (some stores excluded)
- Eligible items: Products sold at KFC stores nationwide (some products, services and payment methods excluded)
- Earning rate: 1 point per ¥200 spent (excluding tax)
- Redemption rate: 1 point = ¥1, usable in units of 10 points
Eligible Cards
Points are earned by presenting one of the following V Point-earning cards at checkout:
- Mobile V Card (available via the V Point app and other means)
- T Card
- V Point card with payment function
- Character-design V Point card
How to Earn and Use Points
It’s simple: when paying at a KFC store, just show an eligible card such as the Mobile V Card, available via the V Point app and other means. You earn 1 point for every ¥200 spent (excluding tax). For example, a purchase of ¥2,000 before tax works out to 10 points.
Points can be used toward payment at KFC stores at a rate of 1 point = ¥1 in units of 10 points, and can also be used at V Point partners across Japan. Note that to use V Point for payment, you must first register your V Point card for use.
Integration with the Official KFC App Planned
Japan KFC also plans to integrate V Point with the official KFC app. The integration is scheduled to roll out gradually after in-store service begins on October 1. Once available, V Point can be used not only in stores but also with KFC Net Order and KFC Delivery.
Launch Campaign: “Kenta de Peace, Kinenbi ni Peace”
To mark the launch of V Point, the “Kenta de Peace, Kinenbi ni Peace” campaign (roughly, “Peace at KFC, Peace on Your Special Day”) runs from 10:00 on Thursday, October 1, 2026 to 23:59 on Saturday, October 31. It offers two benefits.
Benefit 1: Double V Point
During the campaign, present a V Point-earning card when paying at a participating store to earn double the usual V Point as shopping points. No entry is required, and you can earn double points as many times as you like during the campaign. Using the earlier example, a ¥2,000 purchase before tax would earn 20 points.
Benefit 2: 3,300 V Point for 365 Winners
Register a special anniversary and the story behind it, whether your own or one shared with family or friends, on the campaign website, and you’ll be entered into a draw for 3,300 V Point, awarded to 365 winners. The campaign website is hosted on the official KFC site (www.kfc.co.jp/campaign/vpoint).
Award Timing and Expiration
- Award timing: Late November 2026 (planned); may be delayed due to unavoidable circumstances
- Expiration: Bonus points expire on February 28, 2027, regardless of the award date
Things to Check Before Use
- Some stores do not offer the V Point service
- Some products, services and payment methods are excluded
- Registration of your V Point card is required to use points for payment
Details on the V Point service are available on V Point Marketing’s dedicated website, and campaign details can be found on the campaign website.
