Highlights by Price Tier
¥7,300: Okinawa/Naha from all four Taiwanese cities
The cheapest fares in this sale are on Okinawa/Naha routes. The same ¥7,300 fare is offered from all four cities (Taipei (Taoyuan), Taichung, Kaohsiung and Tainan), so you can fly directly to and from central and southern Taiwan, not just Taipei.
¥8,300: Ishigaki from Taipei and Kaohsiung
Ishigaki has two routes, to/from Taipei (Taoyuan) and Kaohsiung, both at ¥8,300. They connect Ishigaki, the gateway to the Yaeyama Islands, with northern and southern Taiwan.
¥9,400: 13 routes across Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku and Kyushu
The ¥9,400 tier covers the most routes. From Taipei (Taoyuan), it includes eight routes: Osaka/Kansai, Okayama, Kochi, Yonago, Fukuoka, Saga, Oita and Miyazaki. From Kaohsiung, it includes four: Osaka/Kansai, Okayama, Fukuoka and Kumamoto. From Tainan, the Kumamoto route also qualifies. Many of these serve regional airports such as Kochi, Yonago, Saga, Oita and Miyazaki, letting travelers head to Taiwan straight from their local airport. Kumamoto can be paired with either Kaohsiung or Tainan.
¥9,900: Tokyo, Nagoya and Komatsu
For the Tokyo area, Taipei (Taoyuan)–Tokyo/Narita, Taipei (Taoyuan)–Tokyo/Haneda and Kaohsiung–Tokyo/Narita are all ¥9,900. With both Narita and Haneda included for Taipei, you can choose whichever airport is more convenient. Nagoya/Chubu routes from Taipei (Taoyuan) and Kaohsiung, the Taichung–Nagoya route, and Komatsu routes from Taipei (Taoyuan) and Kaohsiung are also ¥9,900.
¥13,500–¥16,100: Hokkaido and Tohoku
For Hokkaido, Sapporo/Chitose (from Taipei (Taoyuan) and Kaohsiung) and Hakodate (from Taipei (Taoyuan)) are ¥13,500. For Tohoku and Niigata, Taipei (Taoyuan) routes to Hanamaki, Akita, Sendai, Fukushima and Niigata, plus Kaohsiung–Sendai, are ¥16,100. Although this is the highest tier in the sale, the travel period runs until March 27, 2027, making these routes suitable for winter trips between northern Japan and Taiwan.
Things to Check Before Booking
- Taxes and fees extra: Advertised fares exclude taxes and fees. Check the total amount on the booking screen.
- Limited seats: Seats at the lowest fare are limited, and the offer ends when they sell out. The lowest fare may not be available on your preferred flight or date.
- Two-day sale only: Sales run from October 30 to 31 only, so narrow down your preferred dates in advance.
- No child fares: There are no discounted fares for children, so check the total cost for every family member.
- Infants ¥2,400 one-way: Applies to infants under 2 who do not occupy a seat.
- One-way pricing: For round trips, budget for the return fare and taxes as well.
- Add-on services: As a low-cost carrier, checked baggage and seat selection may cost extra depending on the fare type.
Tips for Making the Most of the Sale
Start by checking which combinations of Japanese departure airports and Taiwanese cities are available. Taipei (Taoyuan) offers the most choice with 21 routes, followed by Kaohsiung with 11, while Taichung and Tainan each have two. If you want to base your trip in southern Taiwan, such as Kaohsiung or Tainan, you can fly there directly without going through Taipei.
Although the travel period spans about five months, flights and dates with the lowest fares may be limited. If your schedule is flexible, compare fares across several dates to find cheaper flights. Bookings can be made on the official website (https://www.tigerairtw.com/ja-JP).
Summary
Tigerair Taiwan’s “Halloween Sale” is on sale until October 31, 2026, offering one-way fares from ¥7,300 on 36 Japan–Taiwan routes. The lowest fares are ¥7,300 for Okinawa/Naha, ¥9,400 for Kansai, Kyushu and more, ¥9,900 for Tokyo and Nagoya, ¥13,500 for Hokkaido and ¥16,100 for Tohoku-area routes. With taxes extra and seats limited, check availability and total prices on the official website early if a route catches your eye.
