The 21st Shibuya Music Festival (第21回渋谷音楽祭2026), also called SHIBUYA MUSIC SCRAMBLE 2026, takes over Shibuya on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026. The full lineup was announced on October 7. The idea is simple: the streets themselves become the stage, and music, dance, fashion, anime and street culture share the same space for two days.
The thing most visitors want to know first is the cost. A large part of the festival is free and open to anyone walking by. Only three concerts at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA need a ticket. Below you’ll find what’s on each day, where to go, and what to watch out for.
- Dates: Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18, 2026
- Main venues: the road closure area in front of SHIBUYA109, LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Shibuya Public Hall), Miyashita Park, Shibuya MODI and other spots around the station
- Free to watch: TOKYO FM stage at Miyashita Park, the Sunday street stages, Station Concert, Shibuya Street Live
- Ticketed: three concerts at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA
- Big day for street stages: Sunday, October 18, when the road in front of SHIBUYA109 is closed to traffic
- Organizer: Shibuya Music Festival Executive Committee, co-hosted by Shibuya City, the Shibuya City Tourism Association and Shibuya Future Design

Tips before you go
- Pick Sunday afternoon if you can only come once. From 13:00 to about 16:00, the closed road stages, SHIBUYA109 STAGE, Shibuya Street Live and the station concert all overlap within walking distance.
- Check X on the day. Weather calls for the TOKYO FM stage come from the TOKYO FM account, and for Shibuya Street Live from its own account. Several stage times are still marked as planned.
- Keep your phone charged. You’ll be checking timetables and maps all day. If you have d VALUE PASS, ChargeSPOT power bank rentals can be free.
- Expect crowds near the Scramble. The closed road area sits right at the busiest part of Shibuya, so agree on a meeting point if you come with friends.
- Planning more weekends out? We also cover the Musashino Art University Festival later in October.
