Enter the promo code “NRTCHC15” when booking flights on the eligible route and your fare will be discounted by 15%. Eligible Booking Classes
This sale excludes certain booking classes in each cabin. A booking class is a letter code used to distinguish fare types within the same cabin, with different codes reflecting different fare conditions and price levels. The conditions are as follows.
Economy
Economy fares are eligible except for booking classes Y, B, M and H.
Premium Economy
Premium Economy fares are eligible except for booking class U.
Business Premier
Business Premier fares are eligible except for booking class C.
Even within the same cabin, the discount will not apply if the fare shown falls into an excluded booking class. Check the fare details and booking class during the booking process, and make sure the discount has been applied before you complete your purchase.
About Fares and Price Range
No specific fares or price range have been announced for this sale. Since the discount is a flat 15% off the fare, the actual amount you save will vary depending on your travel date, cabin, booking class and seat availability. On the same dates, Economy and Business Premier have different base fares, so the size of the discount will differ as well.
Total ticket prices generally include taxes and other charges in addition to the fare, but the announcement does not state whether the 15% discount applies to anything beyond the fare itself. Please enter your actual travel dates on the official website to check the discounted price.
How to Book and Enter the Promo Code
To receive the discount, you need to enter the promo code when booking. The general steps are:
- Go to the Air New Zealand Japan website (https://www.airnewzealand.jp/)
- Select Tokyo/Narita and Christchurch as your origin and destination, and choose dates within the travel period
- Enter the promo code “NRTCHC15”
- Confirm that the cabin and booking class of the displayed fare are eligible, check that the discount has been applied, then complete your purchase
Follow the on-screen instructions on the official website for where to enter the code and the exact steps. If you proceed without entering the code, the discount will not be applied, so be sure to check before paying.
Travel Period and Best Times to Go
The travel period runs for about five and a half months, from the launch date of November 27, 2026, to May 8, 2027. New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere, so its seasons are the opposite of Japan’s: late November through around February is summer there. That means you can plan a summer trip to New Zealand while it is winter in Japan.
The travel period also covers the year-end and New Year holidays, spring break, and Golden Week 2027. Bookings tend to concentrate during these holiday periods, and eligible booking classes may not be available on your preferred dates. If your travel dates are already set, we recommend checking availability and fares as early as possible within the sale period.
What Is the Christchurch “Scenic Nonstop Flight”?
Christchurch is the largest city on New Zealand’s South Island and a gateway for exploring destinations across the island. Air New Zealand has branded this new route the “Scenic Nonstop Flight,” and its biggest advantage is that you can fly nonstop from Narita to Christchurch. For travelers planning a trip centered on the South Island, it offers a new option with no need to connect.
