You do not need to own a pet to enjoy PETEMO Fes 2026 (ペテモフェス2026). The event welcomes pets and their owners, people thinking about adopting, and anyone curious about life with animals. It takes place in Makuhari, Chiba, on November 7–8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day.

Visiting without a pet
This is not an owners-only gathering. People without pets, including those considering welcoming an animal into their home, are explicitly invited.
The adoption events, therapy-dog experience and dog dance performances offer different ways to engage with animals. The new senryu display adds a quieter stop, focusing on everyday experiences that pet owners may recognise.
The festival began in 2015. Last year it welcomed approximately 15,400 people and 6,300 pets, according to the organizer’s announcement.
