Key takeawaysThe 77th Inagawa Fireworks Festival lights up the Inagawa riverbed between Kawanishi and Ikeda on Saturday, November 7, 2026, with around 4,000 fireworks launching from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. There are no stalls on the Kawanishi side, so bring your own drinks and a trash bag. Traffic restrictions on that side run from 3:30 p.m. to around 9:00 p.m., so public transport is the practical choice.

The 77th Inagawa Fireworks Festival (第77回猪名川花火大会) is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, along the Inagawa riverbed between Kawanishi and Ikeda. The event begins at 5:55 p.m., with fireworks launching at 6:00 p.m. and the program ending at 6:30 p.m.

Before making plans, note two practical details: there will be no stalls on the Kawanishi side, and nearby roads will be restricted well before the fireworks begin. Bring your own drinks and plan to travel by public transport.

What to expect from the fireworks

The theme is Inagawa Fireworks Arts Festival (猪名川 花火芸術祭). Around 4,000 fireworks will form a three-chapter program featuring blue fireworks and rapid-fire barrages.

The finale is planned as an extra-large rapid-fire barrage, with a cascade of golden sparks that fills the sky like a waterfall. With the fireworks starting at 6:00 p.m., the key time to plan around is the launch itself, rather than the 5:55 p.m. opening.

Transport and road restrictions

The city asks visitors to travel by train, bus or other public transport because roads around the venue will be congested.

On the Kawanishi side, traffic restrictions are scheduled from 3:30 p.m. until around 9:00 p.m. Vehicles cannot enter areas designated as pedestrian-only roads. The restrictions extend beyond the end of the fireworks, so a car pickup near the venue should not be assumed possible immediately afterward.

Check official access information before choosing a station or walking route. The supplied announcement does not identify either, and the Kawanishi-side restrictions should not be treated as a complete guide to access from Ikeda.

For another fireworks outing with an emphasis on viewing and the journey home, see our Setagaya Tamagawa Fireworks guide. It covers a separate, earlier event; its routes and viewing arrangements do not apply here.

What to bring and check before leaving

  • Bring drinks. No stalls will operate at the Kawanishi-side venue.
  • Bring a trash bag. Visitors are asked to take their waste home.
  • Check the operating status. Severe weather will cause cancellation.
  • Plan your return journey. Kawanishi-side road restrictions are expected to remain in place until around 9:00 p.m.
