Bamiyan Celebrates 40 Years with the “Xie Xie Bamiyan” Fair
Bamiyan, the Chinese restaurant chain of the Skylark Group (operated by Skylark Restaurants Co., Ltd., headquartered in Musashino, Tokyo, President Takashi Nakajima), is marking its 40th anniversary with the “Xie Xie Bamiyan” fair, running from Thursday, September 10 to Sunday, November 22, 2026, at all Bamiyan locations. The lineup packs in celebratory red-and-white dishes, an indulgent new ramen, and collaboration desserts made with Lotte’s popular “Asia ni Koishite” ice cream.
40th Anniversary: Signature Dishes Go “Red and White”
A white version joins the mala soup that has sold 4.5 million servings
The flagship mala soup, which surpassed 4.5 million cumulative servings between March 2024 and the end of August 2026, welcomes a white 40th-anniversary edition. The [Red] Red & White Dim Sum Mala Soup with Xiaolongbao, 949 yen (1,044 yen incl. tax), uses more than ten spices for heat and tingle over a deep, savory broth, accented by chewy red and white dumplings. The [White] “White” Mala Soup with Soy Milk and Green Sichuan Pepper, 999 yen (1,099 yen incl. tax), blends soy milk with rich pork tonkotsu and chicken broth, then layers in green Sichuan pepper, Sichuan huajiao and five-spice powder for a numbing, spicy and entirely new experience.
A limited-time “white mapo tofu”
The classic [Red] Authentic Sichuan Mapo Tofu, 599 yen (659 yen incl. tax), balances Pixian doubanjiang and sweet bean paste, finished with fragrant house-made Sichuan pepper chili oil. The [White] Rich White Mapo Tofu with Shrimp, Water Chestnut and Yam, 799 yen (879 yen incl. tax), pairs the citrusy aroma of Cantonese green Sichuan pepper with the authentic tingle of Sichuan huajiao, balancing lightness and depth while offering plump shrimp and crisp water chestnut for varied texture. The Red & White Mapo Tofu Tasting Set, 1,299 yen (1,429 yen incl. tax), saves 109 yen incl. tax compared with ordering separately.
A Miso Twist for the Ultra-Indulgent “Bamiro Soba”
The limited-run Thick-Cut Chashu Miso Bamiro Soba, 1,029 yen (1,132 yen incl. tax) (extra-large 1,220 yen / 1,342 yen incl. tax), stars a rich broth built from three select misos including Hokkaido miso, blended with peanut paste. Aromatic vegetables are stir-fried with the miso to draw out fragrance, while back fat, chopped garlic and black mayu oil deliver a powerful punch (garlic served on the side). Add the Bamiro-exclusive Authentic Pan-Fried Gyoza [6 pcs] & Rice Set, 499 yen (549 yen incl. tax), and save up to 131 yen incl. tax versus à la carte.
New Additions to the Lucky “Wrapped” Dishes
- Mozzarella Cheese Spring Roll, 399 yen (439 yen incl. tax) — a crisp roll filled with sweet corn and savory crab, plus stretchy melted cheese
- Beijing Chicken, 699 yen (769 yen incl. tax) — about 150g (pre-cooked weight) of crunchy chicken coated in a special aromatic sauce; try wrapping it with lettuce in the accompanying baobing
Dream Collaboration Sweets with Lotte’s “Asia ni Koishite”
Lotte’s “Asia ni Koishite Brown Sugar Oolong Milk Tea (Ice Cream)” — fragrant brown sugar oolong ice cream and gentle milk ice cream finished with brown sugar sauce — anchors two original desserts available only here. The China Sundae with Asia ni Koishite, 499 yen (549 yen incl. tax), combines crisp shumai wrappers, lightly bitter coffee jelly and sweet white peach almond tofu. The Honey Fried Bread with Asia ni Koishite, 399 yen (439 yen incl. tax), swaps the ice cream on Bamiyan’s beloved honey fried bread for the brown sugar oolong milk tea flavor, spreading deep molasses richness and toasty oolong aroma with every bite.
