JAL Pay is running a winter-exclusive points campaign! Earn up to 3,000 JAL Pay Points by using eligible payment methods. New users can enjoy up to 20% cashback, while existing members have access to consecutive-use bonuses and mile charge rewards.

🆕 New JAL Pay Users (Up to 3,000P)
Set up JAL Pay for the first time during the campaign, register it with Apple Pay or Google Pay, and make eligible payments to earn points. Up to 20% cashback!

▼ Reward Tiers
- Spend ¥5,000–¥14,999 during campaign → 500 Points (10% return)
- Spend ¥15,000+ during campaign → 3,000 Points (20% return)
*Users who have previously set up JAL Pay or Apple Pay/Google Pay are not eligible
👤 Existing JAL Pay Members (Up to 3,000P)
For existing JAL Pay users, there are two reward types: consecutive monthly spending bonus and mile charge bonus.

- Apple Pay or Google Pay set up (already set up is OK)
- Make eligible payments above certain amount
▼ Spending Bonus (2 consecutive months)
- Spend ¥15,000–¥29,999 each month → 500P/month (up to 1,000P)
- Spend ¥30,000+ each month → 1,000P/month (up to 2,000P)
*You must meet the requirement in BOTH January and February
▼ Mile Charge Bonus
- Charge 10,000+ miles to JAL Pay at once → Extra 1,000P
*Requires ¥15,000+ in eligible spending that month
*Mile charge alone does not qualify

Spend ¥30,000+ in Jan + Spend ¥30,000+ in Feb + Charge 10,000 miles
→ 1,000P + 1,000P + 1,000P = Total 3,000P!
🎯 Eligible Payment Methods
Only these 3 payment methods qualify:
- QUICPay: Tell the cashier “QUICPay de” before tapping your phone. Available at 3+ million locations in Japan
- Smart Code: Show barcode in JAL Pay app, tell cashier “Smart Code de”
- JAL Pay Merchants: Scan store QR code with JAL Pay app, tell cashier “JAL Pay de”
⚠️ Warning: Simply tapping your phone may default to Mastercard payment. Always say “QUICPay de” first!
💡 What is Mile Charge?
Mile Charge converts your JAL miles (earned from flights or shopping) into JAL Pay Points.
- 10,000 miles → 11,000 JAL Pay Points (1.1x conversion rate)
- JAL Pay Points can be used at 1 point = ¥1 at convenience stores, supermarkets, etc.
*If you don’t plan to fly JAL soon, converting miles to points for daily use is a good option
✅ How to Participate
- Register for the Campaign (Entry)
Log in with your JMB member number on the official site - Set Up JAL Pay (New users)
Activate JAL Pay in the JAL Mileage Bank app and add to Apple Pay or Google Pay - Pay with Eligible Methods
Tell the cashier “QUICPay de”, “Smart Code de”, or “JAL Pay de” before paying - Make a Mile Charge (Existing members for extra bonus)
Charge 10,000+ miles at once through the JAL Pay app
⚠️ Important Notes
- 🚫 Mastercard contactless and card number payments do NOT qualify!
Always say “QUICPay de” before tapping. Direct tap may use Mastercard instead. - 📝 Pre-registration required
Spending without entry first will not count toward rewards. - 📅 Transaction timing matters
If transaction data hasn’t arrived by mid-March 2026, it may not count. - 💰 Points Award Timing
Points credited as JAL Pay Points by end of March 2026 - ⏰ Short validity period!
Points are valid until end of June 2026 – only ~3 months. Use them before expiry! - 🔄 Cancellations/Returns
Will be deducted from your spending total - ❌ Account closure = disqualification
If you close JAL Pay before points are awarded, you won’t receive them
