Jetstar Japan launches the Super Star Sale
Jetstar Japan is running its Super Star Sale from 5:00 p.m. on August 28, 2026 until 4:59 p.m. on September 2, 2026. The promotion covers 18 domestic routes and 4 Asian routes, with one-way Starter economy fares starting at ¥2,990 for domestic flights and ¥8,690 for international flights. With a booking window of just under six days and limited seat allocations per route and date, travellers who already know their destination and dates should book early.
The sale targets autumn and winter demand, covering Hokkaido and Shikoku during the foliage season, Okinawa for its mild winter, and short-haul Asian routes to Taipei, Kaohsiung and Hong Kong. No fuel surcharge applies, but payment fees, airport charges and similar costs are added on top of the displayed fare. Details and bookings are available on the campaign page: https://www.traicy.com/link/GK

Travel periods
Travel periods differ by route type. Domestic flights are valid from September 29, 2026 to January 28, 2027, while Asian routes run from October 1 to December 10, 2026. The domestic window extends into the new year, covering autumn holidays, foliage season, winter skiing and New Year shrine visits. The Asian window is far shorter at roughly two and a half months and cannot be used for year-end travel.
In addition, with limited exceptions, Asian routes are valid only on outbound flights departing Japan; return flights from overseas are sold at regular fares. If you want both legs at a low price, check the return fare as well and compare the total cost.
Points to check before booking
- Fares are the lowest Starter fare type and exclude checked baggage, seat selection, in-flight meals and change fees, all of which must be purchased separately.
- No fuel surcharge applies, but payment fees and airport charges are added, so the total price exceeds the advertised fare.
- Seat allocations are limited on each flight, and popular routes or weekend departures may sell out quickly.
- Certain peak periods, including parts of the year-end and New Year season, are excluded.
- Narita services include early-morning and late-night departures, so confirm airport access options and travel times in advance.
Summary
One-way fares from ¥2,990 remain highly competitive even among low-cost carrier sales. Domestic tickets are valid through late January 2027, covering everything from autumn foliage trips to winter escapes in Okinawa and Hokkaido. With sales closing at 4:59 p.m. on September 2, shortlist your destinations and dates in advance and search as soon as the sale opens.
