Sushiro Teams Up with GAZOO Racing for the First Time
Akindo Sushiro Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Suita City, Osaka; President: Kohei Arai) has announced its first-ever collaboration campaign with GAZOO Racing (GR), the motorsports brand of Toyota Motor Corporation. The campaign runs at Sushiro locations nationwide from Wednesday, August 5, 2026 through Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Under its corporate philosophy of “Delicious sushi to fill your stomach, delicious sushi to fill your heart,” Sushiro has developed the Kodomo Sushiro (Kids’ Sushiro) lineup of products and services so families with children can dine comfortably together. GAZOO Racing, meanwhile, has run numerous events and collaborations to help children feel closer to motorsports and develop an admiration for sports cars. With both companies sharing a commitment to the next generation — one in food, the other in mobility — this first collaboration was born.
The campaign catchphrase is “SUSHIGO!” By adding the memory of playing with GR mini cars to the joy of gathering around sushi as a family, the campaign aims to create a formative experience children will remember for years.

Special Movie “GR Sushiro Cup” Now Streaming
A special movie titled “GR Sushiro Cup [GR x Sushiro]”, in which the Sushiro-original limited mini cars race on a circuit set inside a Sushiro restaurant, launches on Sushiro’s official social channels and the GAZOO Racing official YouTube channel from 10:30 on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Watch the four limited mini cars go head-to-head with the sushi.
Special Collaboration Store: Sushiro Shinjuku Nishiguchi
During the campaign, one location will feature special interior decorations that bring the collaboration to life. Alongside decorated walls and seating, tables are fitted with mats depicting circuit and rally courses. A single large course spans the entire table, so children can race their mini cars even during the meal.
- Store: Sushiro Shinjuku Nishiguchi (Tokyo)
- Period: August 4 to August 30, 2026 (product sales begin August 5)
15 Families to Win a Trip to Fuji Speedway
Fifteen families will be selected by lottery from customers who order the collaboration items and invited to the Sushiro x GAZOO Racing Special Event at Fuji Speedway. After talking about mini cars at the table, families get to experience the real thing.
- Event date: Monday, October 12, 2026 (national holiday)
- Capacity: 15 families (up to 4 people per family: 2 guardians and 2 children)
- Entry period: August 5 to August 30, 2026
- How to enter: 1) Order a collaboration item in-store. 2) Photograph a receipt totaling 2,000 yen or more (tax included) that includes a collaboration item, and register it via the entry form.
Limited “Digiro” Mode and Mini Game
“Digiro” (Digital Sushiro Vision) is a large touchscreen display that digitally recreates the fun of watching sushi flow past on a conveyor lane. At Sushiro locations equipped with Digiro, a limited GAZOO Racing Mode becomes available, with key visuals of GR cars tearing around a circuit watched over by sushi — and the sushi lane itself redesigned to look like a racing course.
In GAZOO Racing Mode, the mini game triggered by order totals also changes to the GR Sushiro Cup, where Sushiro-original mini cars battle it out at Fuji Speedway — a special game available only at Sushiro. Note: prizes from the game are the usual Dakkozushi goods, not GAZOO Racing merchandise.
