This menu item topped the November 2025 ‘Meat Chunk Election’ and returns by popular demand.
The Original Meat Chunk Curry Voted No.1 by Fans
In November 2025, CoCo Ichibanya’s official X account held the ‘Meat Chunk Election’, inviting fans to vote for the meat chunk curry they most wanted to eat again from five historical menu items. ‘Horoniku Dokan to Goukai Curry’ emerged as the clear winner.
Originally sold in limited quantities at select stores in April and November 2023, this curry sold out at numerous locations within roughly two weeks both times, sparking the launch of the ‘Meat Chunk Project’ series as the inaugural meat chunk curry.
Hearty Meat Chunks Meet the Perfect Chaliapin Sauce
Pork shoulder loin is slow-cooked until tender enough to break apart with a spoon and boldly placed atop the curry, then generously topped with ‘Chaliapin Sauce’.
