Jonathan Launches the Autumn Marche Fair on September 3, 2026
Jonathan, the family restaurant chain of the Skylark Group, will hold its Aki no Yokubari Marche (Greedy Autumn Marche) Fair at all locations from Thursday, September 3 through Wednesday, December 9, 2026. The chain is operated by Skylark Restaurants Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Musashino City, Tokyo; President Takashi Nakajima). The lineup brings together three highlights at once: the return of a beloved Japanese-style set meal, new items in best-selling series, and the debut of a trending world dish. Note that the fair menu is not available during morning hours (until 10:30 a.m.), and availability and prices may differ at some stores.
1. A Fan Favorite Returns: Salmon Belly and Ikura Dashi Ochazuke
The Grilled Salmon Belly and Ikura Dashi Ochazuke Set (with pumpkin salad) starts with rice seasoned in dashi soy sauce, topped with mushrooms and seared salmon belly, then oven-baked into a fragrant grilled rice dish and finished with salmon roe.
- Value Special Set (choice of side: bite-size fried oysters or small grated-radish tatsuta chicken): 1,699 yen (1,869 yen incl. tax)
- A la carte: 1,399 yen (1,539 yen incl. tax)
Enjoy the savory baked rice on its own first, then pour over Jonathan’s carefully prepared hot dashi broth to transform it into a light, comforting ochazuke. One bowl, two flavors — the taste change keeps every bite interesting to the last.
Fatty Salmon & Ikura Bowl (with miso soup and side dish): 1,699 yen (1,869 yen incl. tax)
Thick slices of “setoro,” a prized fatty cut of Atlantic salmon, are arranged alongside salmon roe in a luxurious two-tone bowl. Mix in the soft-poached egg for an even richer, mellower taste.
2. The “Sinful White” Shkmeruli Debuts in Two Versions
Shkmeruli, the traditional Georgian dish famous as “the world’s most delicious way to eat garlic,” makes its first appearance in a Jonathan-style adaptation. The signature sauce uses plenty of domestic Japanese garlic, seasoned with coriander, fenugreek and paprika. Served bubbling hot on a sizzling plate, the thick white sauce and melting cheese create an irresistibly indulgent combination.
Spoon-Eaten Shkmeruli-Style Hamburg Steak
- Fair Set (salad, rice or bread, drink bar): 1,599 yen (1,759 yen incl. tax)
- A la carte: 999 yen (1,099 yen incl. tax)
This is the newest entry in “Spoon-Eaten Juicy Hamburg Steak,” the No. 1 seller in the hamburg category. Hamburg steak lines the base, layered with tender vegetables, sauce and melting cheese before being oven-baked into a four-layer structure that you dig through with a single spoon.
Grilled Young Chicken with Shkmeruli Sauce: 1,099 yen (1,209 yen incl. tax)
Inspired by the authentic Georgian style, this dish stars grilled chicken with crisply seared skin and juicy meat, paired with the rich, garlic-forward white sauce.
3. Soup Pasta Series Hits 740,000 Servings, Adds Tomato Soup Pasta
The popular soup pasta series has surpassed 740,000 servings (740,504 sold from September 4, 2025 to August 16, 2026), and now welcomes a more affordable newcomer. Tomato Soup Pasta is 899 yen (989 yen incl. tax), with a piping-hot tomato soup infused with the concentrated umami of thick-cut bacon, filled generously to the brim. The house-made fresh pasta, blending durum wheat and Hokkaido-grown wheat, has a distinctive chewy bite that clings to the soup.
- Upgrade with toppings for your own version — the Margherita style with mozzarella and basil is recommended
- Finish with risotto or rice-flour bread to enjoy every last drop
- Snow Crab Rich Bisque Soup Pasta: 1,399 yen (1,539 yen incl. tax), an americaine-sauce bisque packed with shrimp umami and topped with snow crab
