Matsuya’s Famous Shkmeruli Meets Matsunoya’s Signature Katsu
Matsuya Foods Holdings announced that its tonkatsu specialty chain Matsunoya will launch a Shkmeruli series starting Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM. This special cross-brand collaboration celebrates the 60th anniversary of Matsuya Foods’ founding.
Shkmeruli, a Japanese take on the Georgian garlic chicken dish, has been a sensation every time it appears on the Matsuya menu as the wildly popular Shkmeruli Hot Pot Set Meal. Now this fan favorite joins forces with Matsunoya’s signature katsu—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside—for a limited time.
What Makes It Special
The dish features a rich, punchy garlic sauce generously topped with melty cheese for an indulgent, guilt-inducing treat. Chunky sweet potato pieces add extra satisfaction. You can even mix rice into the leftover sauce for a risotto-style finish, enjoying every last drop.
