Sushiro Teams Up with Nagoya TV’s “Dodesuka!” for the First Time
Sushiro, the conveyor-belt sushi chain operated by Akindo Sushiro (a FOOD & LIFE COMPANIES company), is launching its first-ever collaboration with “Dodesuka!”, a morning information program broadcast across Japan’s Tokai region by Nagoya TV (Me~tele). Starting Wednesday, June 10, 2026, four new items—including a dish inspired by the show’s mascot character “Wolfy”—will be available exclusively at Sushiro locations in Aichi, Gifu, and Mie Prefectures.
The project stems from one of Sushiro’s “Five Promises”: “to create restaurants loved by the local community.” All collaboration items were conceived by announcer Ryo Shimanuki, who appears on the program, and then refined by Sushiro’s product development team for in-store service.
Details of the 4 Tokai-Limited Collaboration Items
Miso Katsu-Style Roll (from 200 yen incl. tax)
Nagoya’s famous miso katsu (pork cutlet) reimagined as sushi. Pork cutlet and lettuce are wrapped in an inside-out roll to resemble Nagoya TV’s official mascot “Wolfy,” topped with house-made miso sauce. It comes with a collaboration-exclusive pick that lets you enter a lottery to win “Wolfy” merchandise.
- Sale period: From Wed, June 10, 2026, until the total 32,000 picks are gone
- Lottery entry period: Wed, June 10 – Mon (holiday), July 20, 2026
- Prize: “Wolfy” merchandise for 20 winners (enter via QR code on the back of the pick; once per day)
Sushiro-Style Hitsumabushi (from 260 yen incl. tax)
Chopped eel grilled in kabayaki sauce served over mixed rice blended with bonito powder and sweet sauce, topped with mitsuba and nori. Enjoy it as-is first, then pour seat-side green tea powder over it for an ochazuke-style second helping—just like Nagoya’s classic hitsumabushi. Add wasabi to taste for an extra kick.
- Sale period: From Wed, June 10, 2026, until the planned 20,000 servings sell out
Fried Squid with Lemon Sauce Nigiri (from 200 yen incl. tax)
Inspired by “lemon-simmered fried squid,” a soul food of Nishio City, Aichi Prefecture. Squid is fried in-store and dipped in lemon sauce for a refreshing finish.
- Sale period: From Wed, June 10, 2026, until the planned 45,000 servings sell out
Premium Shrimp Tempura Mehari Nigiri (from 160 yen incl. tax)
A Sushiro take on “mehari-zushi,” a regional specialty of the Kumano area. It features the highly popular “premium shrimp tempura” wrapped in two leaves of takana mustard greens. True to the name’s origin—”so big your eyes pop open”—it’s made in a hearty, satisfying size.
- Sale period: From Wed, June 10, 2026, until the planned 18,000 servings sell out
About “Dodesuka!” and “Wolfy”
“Dodesuka!” is a morning information program airing across Aichi, Gifu, and Mie under the slogan “Get out there! Go meet your hometown even more.” Now in its 25th year, it ranked No. 1 in its time slot for individual overall viewership in fiscal 2025. The mascot “Wolfy,” introduced in 2003, is a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” that wraps the three Tokai prefectures in energy and happiness.
